What a month we have had in Tanzania. Words will not be able to do justice to the true depths and zeniths that we have experienced over the last three plus weeks. Jerry Clower, once had a song that said something to the effect of "Shoot up here amoungst us, as one of us has got to have some relief", speaking of a man in a tree with a wild cat. At times this probably best sums up our feelings. But first things first. We are thankful for God's continual answering of our prayers as Stephanie Stafford has had her surgery [View Full Entry]

If you were to look up Murphy's Law in the Dictionary, the definition would read like this: Murphy's Law - A missionaries life in a third world country.... Actually I am not sure what it would read it just seems to us that this week especially has been one that has challenged our faith, as well as the faith of a few others. On Sunday Night we received a group of campaigners from Oklahoma. Two congregations represent this group. One is from Sayre, and the other from Elk City. The plans were to establish a congregation in Marangu beginning on [View Full Entry]

This morning we all went to Moshi for the group's 1st African Sunday morning worship. Matt Richardson taught a great Bible class and we had one come forward and repent of sins before the worship even began. Then Grant led us in a few English songs and Richard (one of the local brethren) led us in Swahili songs, Brad Taught an amazing lesson, and Rick led us in Communion. Then we had one, ask to be added to the Lord's church in Baptism. A great morning from the very start! The Samfords and Hochdorfs both came down to worship with us [View Full Entry]

A bright and blessed new day in service to a mighty God!
Heading out to do studies
The typical home...

Day 4 in Marangu Well... I had several amazing pictures from Day 4 of the work being done in the Marangu area, with several exciting things to show. Over 60 bible studies were conducted that day, and one precious soul was added to the Lord's Church in Baptism, named BibiAnna. My niece Nicole lead her first Bible Study in Africa, and I had the greatest pictures of that, (she did an amazing job and I couldn't have been more proud to be there with her at that time!) along with the funny incident that happened to little Gracie. During the study [View Full Entry]

Getting ready to go

Our Group of 12 from Oklahoma has arrived and are all here to work together on a great week of evangelism and outdoor preaching in the area of Marangu. We had originally wanted to hold the seminar in Machame, but things didn't work out to where that was able to happen. An open door of opportunity was put before us with a new convert in the northern area of Marangu, an Indian, who has recently relocated here in Tanzania, where he runs a hotel and has a nice home & vehicle, and is wanting to let the church meet there in [View Full Entry]

The Prices of Canned Foods and Normal Staples in the Stores are on the rise... There are some examples and pictures on Page 3... All the more reason to get these Gardens growing and supplying needed foods for the people of Tanzania and the local Missionary families! You can find just about everything you need here inthe stores, but they are usually not quite what you had hoped for, poor in quality, expired, or just too expensive to even consider. I can't even stand the thought of buying a box of cereal for around $10 to $12. Then there's the Oil, [View Full Entry]
