Keep the dream alive! - From: Out there
Your "Stash" is looking good Blane! That's the mark of a maple over chevrons. Your pistol man looks like he is all about meters and inches. Deadly. Keep up the moral and know your brother is here keeping it real in Canadistan. Peace out. P.S. Looks like your truckers could use a little training and your bugs could use a little less free radicals!

another Pacific disturbance - From: Out there
Hi Blane, Enjoyed your photos and the descriptions...couldn't help contrasting the obvious dry, sandy terrain with what we've been experiencing for the past two weeks. You guessed it: screaming southeasters and horizontal rain sometimes fat almost-snow. Mount Washington has so much snow that they're opening next weekend much to the delight of the skiers in the family. Your Dad is busy working on his boat...promised your Mum a whole month of cruising next July, so now he's really committed to the project. Mum has decided not to pack her bags until she sees it at the gas dock! Plans for Bruce's wedding are moving along...wish you could be here for the big day. Looking forward to more news....stay safe. Love, Cherri PS Love the moustache...very Clark Gable!

Good weather and safe trip for the rest of it - From: Day 1 Vancouver to Blind Channel
Wow, I have just returned from Greece but it seems that my trip pales compared to your journey. I just hope that my brown colour will still remain there and not turn yellow because of all the enviness and gelousy and etc and etc aand etc.. I now have to cope with!! Although I have noticed that it is kind of noisy in your boat, you may be lucky to hear the seashell... Poseidon, mighty god of the seas was attracted to all the godess and women he would see. One day though, the dance of Amphitrite stirrs the tenderness in his heart. Not knowing how to deal with this new feeling, he uses his usual methods to have her, and makes her run and hide herself into the bottom of the sea. Realising he has lost The One and failing to find her, Poseidon is filled with great sadness. Impressed, his friend Delphinus (the Dolphin) volunteers to search for her and plead his case. He succeeds in his mission and Amphitrite becomes the Queen of the Seas. But, as the gods do not die (at least not so soon! ) like Romeo and Juliet, poor Poseidon returned to his old habits, and thus the story of the marriage begins :-).. .. … …………….... And even nowadays, my dear readers, when you hear the sound of a seashell, you will know that it is their son Triton riding with Poseidon in his chariot across the waters, trumpeting a sea shell to announce Poseidon's arrival.

That was fast!! - From: Were ready to set off to Alaska
Hey Blane, I am amazed at how fast you got to Ketchikan. I could see by spot, you and Len spent many hours a day in your 15 ft boat (your bottoms must of got very numb). It was fun watching your journey. I can only imagine how beautiful the trip must of been. I am looking forward to a blog entry telling all about your adventure as you travelled on the ocean! I guess the adventure continues as you make your way back...... Jenny

Great to hear from you in Alert Bay , I was working on the computer today and brought up spot just in time to see you were in blind channel. I phoned and enquired if you guys were there and the girl said , they are just heading out from the dock should I try and flag them down? I said thanks but no. Sounds like the boat is performing well and you should have no problems with the open crossing if the weather continues to coperate . Cheers Ray

Blane, Wow, great video. I really enjoyed watching it and seeing just how much work went into preparing your boat, I hope you and your friend Len have a great trip. It will be fun watching you travel via spot once again, only this time on the mighty ocean water instead of the open road. You live a non-rstop adventurous life, Mr Reynolds and it is super cool that you bring friends and family along for the ride! Happy travels, Jenny

Hi Brad. Glad to hear you had a long and super time in Budapest. That is a trip that is still on our list of places to go. We are going to Turkey for 16 days the end of Aug so it won't be this year. I couldn't open the slideshow but the two photos are great. Are you going to come to the Family Reunion on the 18th of July? We would love to meet Olivia and of course see you after so long. Do you remember driving through Huatulco, Mexico last year? Ted & I bought a small apt there this spring. We are planning to go back in Nov for perhaps 4 months. Don't know if we will be able to stay that long but we will see. Love Uncle Ted & Auntie Donna

looks like you've nearly made it. some might say your at the skinny part of the americas. i was curious as to if you're finding internet terminals fewer and farther between? that dingo might come in handy after all, eh inglés. life is pretty routine up here. frosty windows this morning... -3 C. i looked up the peace today(everyday), from dunvegan bridge. the valley has rapidly transformed from what it was as you left it; to a brilliant yellow aspen autumn that seems to illuminate in the sunrise. the first breaths of winters bite have arrived. how bout you? the spot says you're still on the go. through two borders today? i am excited to hear about the last couple days. if you do need to use that dingo, click connect on your desktop. read a couple boxes. choose an interface. "eth0" is a good first choice. ciao danharris

Happy B-Day Brad !! Hard to believe that your 30 but, it has to happen sometime. Why not on an adventure with the boys in unknown territory. We have enjoyed your updates but question the pictures as they appear very dark on our screen. Is there a way to brighten the images so we can see clearly? Blane, have you noticed the satelite dish angles down there as we discussed. Bet they're damn near upwards. Enough for now Keep safe---Gord & Joanne
