Soo...where did I leave off? Saturday night me and Moniek did indeed go out. We went out with 2 fellow CouchSurfers- Miguel (from Brazil but has lived and worked in Spain for years) and Adila (from Malaysia but works in Den Haag). We first went out to Miguels friends bar because it was his friends birthday. His name is Tag. Hes Scottish and owns a rock bar called The Seven Sins. That was a lot of fun! Some things I have learnt about Spain: -People use "tía" and "tío" (aunt and uncle) here like "chica" and "chico" -Its ok to say "bicho" (penis) as here it actually means bug -The way I pronounce my letters/words in Spanish is considered bad (basically low class/ghetto) and everyone has tried to make me change it, but thats how I talk! -A looot less people here speak English than you would think -Going into the pool with shorts and a shirt will draw more attention than going completely topless -People can be really rude- it doesnt phase them a bit if they [View Full Entry]

Another day another day... Yesterday was pretty calm and uneventful. I got up and wrote my journal entry for the day while Moniek slept. Hello everyone, it is 10:14 am here, meaning it is 4:14 a.m. your time. Well, last night was pretty quiet. We went to Lavapiés with Carlos to see a tango film and show, but it got rained out. Hello to everyone! We have arrived in Spain and I miss everyone so much. Melanie and Antonio dropped me off at the airport Wednesday. They stayed with me for an 1 hour and they gave me some very special gifts :) (after writting on my chest whille the creepy bookstore owner watched. After they left, I talked on the computer with some friends until Moniek showed up. Around 1:45 on Wednesday, May 27th, we began to board the plane. We took off without any problems.
