These last few weeks have been lots of fun. My readers have started to become more interested in the bible, and we have had some very interesting conversations. One reader said the bible was a lot different than they thought. Another reader said that he did not know anything before about the bible, but now he is learning. They all have very good questions and really do want to understand and learn. This week on one of our days off, Elizabeth and I went to a preschool that one of my readers is head of. Elizabeth and I arrived safely in Japan Tuesday night and have been busy studying with our readers. Everyone here is very nice, and I have enjoyed getting to know my readers. There are an interesting variety of readers that Elizabeth and I are working with. Some are Christians already and want to learn English, and some are not Christians. I have one gentleman who told me he is not a Christian, but he wants to learn English. I told him that was fine, but I am using the stories from the bible because it has good vocabulary.
