Hey guys all good still? Looks like you guys are having a lot of fun. Are those donkeys you are on or horses? Stay safe and have fun!

hello
Nice to hear from you both --- hard to believe you're half way thru your 6 months already? You're right, time does pass very quickly! The pictures are amazing - so nice to see so many with one or both of you in it too...neither look like you're starving so that's a good thing. Appreciate the positive feedback about what you're seeing and experiencing - would like to read more of the good, less of the negative aspects though. Nothing new here to report - same old, same old for the most part...A lot of hoopla with Olympic torch coming through Calgary and Cochrane this past week --- didn't go see it though - Braeden, you might remember going to see the Olympic torch in 1988. Anyhow Chinook weather has passed and we are experiencing winter once again... Stay healthy, well and have fun! Love Mom

Rekindling memories
I did six months from Colorado to Ushuaia and back in the 1970s. I left with $800 and arrived in Miami with $3 and made it home in fine fettle. I hit every country except Belize, and I don't think it was independent yet. I wish you all the best. Keep up the old wanderlust. It's educational and makes you appreciate the safety (I lived in Africa through five coups 'd’état .) and prosperity in this country. But it also makes you realize that all people share the same aspirations - peace and freedom. I'm up to 130 countries, counting the four we're heading off to in six days. We've switched from backpacks to carry-ons only - a great way to go for geezers.

hello
Haven't had a recent update so thought I'd take a few and write to say hello. Visit to GP was good - really cold and maybe 8 hours of sunshine the entire time there but didn't really matter as your sister kept me busy painting and some cleaning and some more painting...We did Aleksa's big girl bedroom and repainted the nursery, complete with some plaid on the walls - both rooms turned out great! Also painted a hallway and around into the kitchen. Its a lovely house, hope you get a chance to visit them, maybe after your second neice or nephew is born Uncle Braeden. Back to work and routine after the holidays - finally put up last of the Christmas stuff and cards away til next year again. Can't wait to see what's shaking with you two --- hope this finds you both well, safe, and enjoying your time in SA. Loads of love = miss you. Mom

Hurray,you made it
What fabulous pictures! Aunty Mickey will be so proud of you. You've had an experience of a life time. Sounds like you deserved the beer at the end of the hike. Glad you appreciated your guides and other staff for a great four days. I'm reading this at noon on Christmas Day, just before I start cooking the brusselsprouts, aren't you going to miss that tasty dish? We're having a really beautiful sunny day, not a cloud inthe sky, but minus six. Lots of snow around , could probably snowshoe in the back forty if we wanted to. Grampa says hi and we both love you very much. Enjoy everything you see and do as much as you can to see another part of our wonderful world. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Love Gram

Question for you from Coree-Ann about the doll you gave Aleksa for her birthday this year...Where did you buy it? We have been trying to find some new accessories for Aleksa's "baby Simba." We've looked at Toys R Us, Zellers, WalMart, but haven't found anything for the same brand name of dolls. Baby Simba needs some new clothes and we wonder if you could recall where you bought the little doll and stroller ensemble...Let me know or let Coree-Ann know if you have her email address. Thank you....Look forward to a new blog about your Machu Pichu hike/camp trip too....Merry Christmas you two!!!! Love Mom

Hello Coronach Clan!
Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well and the weather isn´t too bad for you yet. I´m sure everyone is really disappointed with the Grey Cup turn out - did anyone make it to Calgary for the game? Colleen, to answer your question, yes I am keeping a journal and of course you can read it the next time I see you. It is quite simple, just a day-to-day log of where we are and what we are up to (nothing too detailed or personal). Take care and say hi to everyone for me! Raya :)

Well Montreal ended up winning Grey Cup = Sask got 10 yd penalty with 10 seconds left on clock for too many men on the field! A field goal and final score was Montreal 28 = Sask 27. The walk from the stadium to cuzzin Mike's place was deadly silent - the Rider fans were in complete shock! Kinda funny to be honest because sitting in McMahon it was deafening with all the green shirts - quite an experience. I can say now I've been to a Grey Cup game at least. It was a good Grey Cup weekend though, lots to do and see between downtown and McMahon. Sanddune surfing looked incredibly fun --- the Inca lines also quite amazing...lots of diversity in what you're seeing and doing - awesome! Weather has turned cold - north wind and snow yesterday (Nov 30) fortunate it was AFTER Grey Cup Sunday! Stay safe - careful with the increasing altitude as you venture to Cusco eh! Lots 'n lots of water I hear is the trick. Mickey says some coca leaves help too and I wanna hear about chewing those in a future blog...Miss you both - Love Mom (Terri)

Hello Terri! So sorry it has taken me forever to respond to your qustion. Yes, we did make it close to the equator, probably the closest when we were in Quito, Equador. We did plan to take the day trip out to where the N and S hemispheres meet as it was less than a 2 hour bus trip, however, we never did make it. After the ´Teleforniqo´ was closed both days we tried to go with no explanation, we got frustrated and decided to get out of the city. Perhaps a little more patience would have proved beneficial :)

Hi Sweetie& sick one
So good to hear from you. Thanks for the great pictures. Tell Braeden that monkey meat is hard to digest, he should ask for alligator or giant rat next time. Hurry and get well.I went and got my flu shot today and only had to wait about an hour. They sure are busy. Broke a record in temp. yesterday+17 and willprobably do it again today. Nicer weather than Aug. and Sept.Everone busy getting ready for Xmas. I don't know yet if Iwill go to Calgary or stay home. Ron's bought a place in Arizona and will go there right after the holidays.Luckyjerks wish it was me.Well that is all I know for now, stay well and safe and talk to you soon. Hey you 2: Glad to hear you found some sunshine, but like you said even grey overcast is better than any amount of winter. Didn't know #1 son knew how to surf - huh! Good on ya Braeden although it's not a skill you're going to make much use of once you get back home. YUK about the spiders but that's part of travelling isn't it - learning to deal with all sorts of weird stuff, food, spiders, bugs etc. Stupid question, but did you get anywhere near the imaginary line we call the equator? Will you if you haven't yet? Get a picture of yourselves stradling the N and S hemispheres for me if you do OK? Sorry my geography sucks, I should just pay closer attention to the maps accompanying your blogs. Its Edmonton vs Calgary this weekend, winner plays Sask. next weekend then of course Grey Cup on the 29th. Enjoy the sunshine - get that tan whipped into shape eh. Stay safe, love you --- Mom Terri
