Well, I promised I'd post more often, so here I go...Thursday night I went with some kids from class to a boliche called Lost, in Palermo (I think), that plays hip hop until about 4am on Thurs. Some of the kids had gone last week and said it was worth the trip. I shared a taxi with a kid from my class and we met some others at a friend's apartment. I know I've been slippin on updating this thing, but honestly I've been really busy!! What I thought was busy in Richmond is nothing compared to here (except of course during exams). I get up early and go all day. It's great, but I'm not accustomed to it at all so it is taking some time to adjust. I guess it's been a week since my last entry so I have a lot to update on. Hola todos. Today was the first official day of class. I took a placement test yesterday and they put me in Intermediate Level 1. Which is basically gonna be a review of the last semester I had of spanish about a year ago, which I totally need. The teacher doesn't even know English it seems, so we can only communicate in Spanish, which of course is what we all need. Hola todos! I have finally made it here to the beautiful, busy and HOT Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tonight marks the end of my third day here, although it's hard to count the first day because I was so out of it from traveling for the previous 24 hours. I left Washington, DC at 2:30 on Thursday afternoon and flew to Miami. I had a three hour layover there, and they boarded the plane for BsAs around 8:30 pm. Well, tonight is...packing hell! Haha, that's what I get for putting it off so long. I'm here at my parent's house. Last home cooked dinner, chicken with mushrooms and veggies. I'll take all the chicken I can get since I will probably eat nothing but beef for the next five months. The entire trip still feels like it is weeks away. I can't quite grasp the idea that tomorrow I am off on a five month stay in a foreign country. I guess I'll have to get used to the idea by tomorrow at 2:00 when my plane takes off! One more week here in Richmond....working, trying to save my last bit of valuable shopping money! Trying to figure out my new camera so I can take TONS of amazing pictures on my trip. Also trying to put all my favorite music on my MP3 player so I don't have to take up any valuable space in my luggage with CD's.
