Just a quick blog post from a cyber cafe in Marrakech. It has now been one month of nearly non stop travel. It is hard to give a complete description of all I have done. It seems like a much longer time has past. In retrospect it seems like the problems I had before have gone away. As usual my method of charging in to a horrible mess and then dealing with it on the ground works. I will write more about Morocco a) when I actually leave it and b) when I find a computer with the necessary plugins to load pictures. Until then happy trails!... read more

The challenge dear readers is not sleeping under a bridge. Its doing it then looking like you didnt the next day and the day after and so on. It is easy enough to go into a situation spouting off about one's toughness and you might be able to keep it up for a day or two. But at some point those hostel beds look mighty inviting. Such was my experience in Spain. I went into that country hot to trot with ideas of living superminimally couch surfing from place to place, living free and easy. From my limited experience it is surprisingly harder to couch surf in Urban areas than in more rural ones. The more popular the area the more CSers go there and the challenge goes up. Well here I go off on my little adventure. First challenge is getting over the Atlantic Ocean. My original plan was to head to Heathrow and go south from there, but as I am currently almost nothing about travel goes the way you expect it to. I found that a ¨repositioning cruise¨ would actually be the cheapest way to get over to Europe and as luck would have it the cruise ends at Barcelona. They are so cheap because they go over the atlantic and there is nothing but sea and the godless abominations known as flying fish the whole way.
