The trip was from Chennai by train . A over night train journey and by 10 .30 am we were in Varkala station. This part of south India is rich in vegetation and plenty of rainfall. It is an over night journey from Chennai to Kodai road and then by bus from this sport for 3 hours.This was a sudden trip planned. Though I had seen snow and snow fall my daughter was very particular to see snow clad peaks and enjoy the weather.We then planned for this lovely trip to Shimla Kulu Manali. The starting point was Chennai. We flew down to Delhi and took the early morning Shatabdi express to kalka the last rail head to go to Shimla. We set off on a week end to Bangalore by train and from there to Mysore by road. The road trip from Mysore to Coorg was too good the place is also known as Mercara or Madekere a small town with lovely lush green hills tea gardens and a pleasant climate.
