I see a book deal on the horizon!
Great to hear all your news! Think you should work for New Zealand tourism - we want to come and see it! Keep up the good work, it's so good to hear all about your adventures. Look forward to the next one..... lots of love The Whitehouses

Bus service resumes
I think you'll find that last Saturday there WAS a bus doing the trip up the coast to Picton! (Yeovil 0 Sheffield Wednesday 2). So, only just over 2 years since your own 'casual' unwashed University days and now it's , '......grubby students clutching guitars serenading the scuttling businessmen......' Whoops, there goes another group of alienated blog readers!! What are you going to get the kids to call you I wonder? Matt or Matthew?

At Last!
Glad to hear that you have 'at last' reached NZ. You've had quite a journey which I have followed with interest - even if it was the edited version for aged rellies/friends and younger ex pupils. I have to admire your writing skills - you could always take up journalism if the supply teaching faltered. Continue to have such a great time and keep on blogging. Lots of love Sue

Hahahahahahahaaaaaa!
Interesting blog, useful for our short stay in the city for the weekend. Yes, we feared our natural plant wedding photo album from Fiji would be confiscated by customs! We're travelling in relative luxury and it's humbling that you've managed to hitch-hike yr way round. Hardcore! Good luck with job hunting x

Need to get fatter!
We have just read through your latest blog on Japan....just before hometime! The children think that you must be used to your team losing anyway!!!! Did the man in glasses survive the buttcheeks? We found that funny! Hope you are having a cracking time in New Zealand....where is the next blog??? Missing you, Base 4 and Miss Nodder.

Hooked
You're a natural at this travel writing Matthew. Entertaining, funny, insightful, observant, educational, well illustrated. Kate's comments echo my own experiences of reading the blog. So don't even think about giving up on it now that you are based in New Zealand and no longer travelling; we want more insight, humour, observations etc.

Hi Cara, great to hear from you! I miss everyone at Randlay too, I'm sure I will be back to visit soon. You helped many children at Starfish including James and Carl, two little boys who recently had an operation to correct their cleft pallet. If you look at the blog you can see a picture of them with me. I hope that you're working hard and enjoying your last year in school.....say hi to miss bugler for me!

Don't know which is worse; Matthew as Julie Andrews or Richard in those dodgy 'y-front' trousers. And while I'm on the 'dodgy' theme Matthew, do I spot another fashion faut-pas (headwear.... again!) in the 'we all fitted in one car' photo! Great blog sprog.
