| 31st December 2009 Chris | Amazing - From: Princesses for a day! Awesome. Looks like a great time and some amazing photos. I have read a few of your blogs and your descriptions are superb. I am considering traveling to a few of the same destinations in Ireland in the coming year. Hope to have as great a time as you seem to be having. Cheers. |
| 4th November 2009 RachelleD | - From: P.S.I LOVE YOU Ohhhhh I love south africa. My favourite destination in the world. Where exactly are you? To be truthful I could not imagine a better time to go to Ireland. The autumn colours are stunning and although some areas are getting cold it's exactly as I imagine Ireland to be. Not really a summer destination in my opinion. Enjoy your travels R |

I leave South Africa on SUnday and considering we are having an awesome summer, the weather in Dublin is beginning to scare me - hopefully it will get better by Monday before I arrive. |

| 24th February 2009 Sheila McCarthy | Sounds Super! - From: In The Beginning....... Hi Rachelle Just read your 'blog' and looked at photos - so glad that you have settled and are now looking forward to your new 'home' - those italian guys sound O.K. (especially working in a restaurant!!! Loved all the photos - stay away from those HUGE ice-creams - think 'lycra'!!! The school teaching (3 days) sounds great and will enable you to have 'long weekends' away - so many places to go and 'things' to see! I know you have been to Buckingham Palace, did you see the Changing of the Guards? Really a spectacular sight, if you haven't, go early and get close to the gates - you have to wait, but it's worth it! Keep on having a great time and look forward to hearing (and seeing) from you soon. Stay well and happy, Love Sheila |

Hate to be in your run in with the english speaking local situation (Well the male locals in general) but i would of thought after teaching so many back chatting "Middle Eastern" kids you would have some good one liners. haha I bet the Seafood was worth it compared to cake or boiled eggs for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner haha |

| 17th August 2008 RachelleD | Hi - From: Mind Blowing Chobe Thanks for your comment. Sorry I have not responded earlier. Actually have not had time to do anything but write the blogs. I have just left Zanzibar which was as good as Chobe but on a different level. In Uganda now and can't remember the name of the campsite we stayed at near Chobe, sorry! Let me know what you think about my other blogs. Cheers |
| 4th August 2008 Alan 'Medalla' Comer | Botswana - From: Mind Blowing Chobe I did a tour of Bots two years ago to the day! I was there for 3 and a half weeks, few days in Zambia and the rest in SA (so 6 in all). It's where I got my nickname 'Medalla' from. Medalla is setswana for 'Old Man' because I was the eldest of my friends that I was touring with, at 23! I remember the Chobe tours. They were to most amazing thing in the whole world. Not even Victoria Falls topped them. I also had the experience of the Elephant herd cross our path, however it was the main road that they were crossing and we were on our way back to the campsite! There was a midmorning traffic jam on the main road as the herd moved in between all the cars. The River Cruise was breathtaking. Such a sunset. Which campsite are you staying in? I'm trying to remember the name of our one, but it was right on the river and had a semi-tamed, one tusked warthog with a few piglets that used to live on the campsite. Our tent was right beside the river and we had Hippos less that 30 feet away from us, grunnting all night! So envious of you right now. Have the most amazing time for the rest of your journey. And if you see a tall, bearded, white ranger/tour guide there called Baloo with a Frence father and Irish mother, tell him all the Irish lads say Kelly-a-bokey, RA! :D |
