Day #4: Milford Sound Early morning again!! Up at 5:45 so all of us could take a shower…and board our bus by 7am!! But it was completely worth the loss of a few hours for the great trip we had today. We went to Milford Sound, which is a famous fjord that was carved out by glaciers and has steep jagged cliffs that rise over 1200 meters straight up from the water and tower above you… I’ve never felt so small until I came to this part of the world!! Day #1: Q-Town Here We Come Here is what you have all been waiting for...the adventures have begun!!! Lauren and I left Wellington for the South Island this morning bright and early at 6:50...we even beat the sun!! I’m going to start with a disclaimer about the length…sorry!! Wow it amazing how each day actually seems to be better then the one before. Although, the chocolate will stay in my mind (and tummy) for a while, I don’t think it can get much better then spending a day visiting NZ’s wine country. Well it was a pretty busy week, fun, but busy. I wouldn’t want it any other way because I don’t know what to do with myself if I’m not super busy!! Well I don't really even know how to start this entry...I definitely had an experience I will not soon forget. I know it is long but trust me it is really entertaining!! I went tramping this past weekend. The Kiwi version of hiking, but more rough and intense. As you can see in the picture I'm all geared up and ready to go. I've got my strippys on (signature kiwi long underwear), my hiking boots, and my pack fully loaded with my sleeping bag, food, I-pod, and a limited supply of warm clothes.
