Well only two and a half weeks of actual classes left!!! Soooo excited to get out and about traveling NZ again...but I'll have more on that later!! After the South Island trip and the overload of blogs I took a break to catch up with school (yah I actually have work to do!!), and to reintroduce myself into my fav city, Wellington!!! South Island V-cay: Day#13 Well this is it, the last entry from my road trip!! Now it is back to the North Island and school!!! The holiday went by way to fast… it was action packed...not allowing much sleep...and I spent maybe a little too much mulla...but it was all worth it!! South Island V-cay: Day #12 **I know that my blogs lately have been pretty full of info (I hope you haven't fallen asleep at the comp or anything), but I know this addition will pull ya all right back in... South Island V-Cay: Day #11 Hmmm…I could definitely get used to waking up to freshly baked bread and burning fire every morning.!!! After yesterdays soothing springs and relaxing night we were ready to get on with the last portion of our trip. Our first activity was hiking the woodland walk in the forests of Hanmer up to the Conicall Hill look out. At the top there was a perfect 360 degree lookout where you could see the town nesteled in the valley with the mountains surrounding it on all sides. South Island V-Cay: Day #10 Guess what?? Up early again this morning...not too much of a change from the past week, but I can't seem to sleep in anymore anyways! With my early start I took advantage of our premiere location and walked along the beach while I waited for the other two to finish packing...which is strange cause usually I'm the last one...yah I know that probably doesn't surprise anyone!! South Island V-Cay: Day #9 With another day full of driving we finally got our wish…Mr. Sun poked his little head out and we had wonderful sunny weather all day long...yeah!! We got up bright and early to start our travels. Our first stop was on the way out of Fox for a distant view of the now sunny glacier that we had climbed the day before, and then followed by a brisk little walk around Lake Matheson...which is the most photographed mirror lake in NZ...it was as smooth as glass and you could see everything in its reflection. South Island V-Cay: Day #8 Waking up that morning we were crossing our fingers hoping that when we peaked out the windows the sun would come pouring in...didn't work :( Again the sky is filled with clouds and there is a permanent mist filling the air. South Island V-Cay: Day #7 Woke up this morning more than ready to get on the rode and leave the Purple Cow hostel and my snoring rommies behind. Lauren, Shelly and I were really excited to start our road trip up the coast and got an early start. Day #6: Skiing at Cordrona The day started out pretty interesting...it was our first day with "Sunny" our rental car. (We didn't even name the car, it is the actually name of the model!)
