Hamburg Adventures Dec 29th, Jan 3rd-5th It has been quite a while since I arrived home and sat down to add pics so this blog is a lil outdated. I'm not going to try and sum up all my time except to say It was a BLAST! I got to reunite with some of my best New Zealand and Washington DC pals. Christian was my tour guide through Hamburg and its crazy Red Light District...who knew how well Gothic chicks can play pool?? I tried some vinnerschnitzle and had a HUGE beer, just to get that TRUE German experience (I think I had my fill for a while). Ok, so I know I've been REALLY bad at updating, and emailing, and letting people know Im still alive (sorry Mom), but this week has been extremely crazy and out of control!! And I couldnt be happier...all of my worries were releaved this week with all the awesome shooting we got in. Im really pumped to get back and start editing the documentary and making somethign im really proud of! When I get back to Lincoln (flying out tomorrow morning at 9am) Im going to update and add some pics from my trip (the hotels comp wont let me add pics), and I cant wait to add all the amazing things Ive gotten the chance to experience in Berlin. Hi again!! :) I'm now in Hamburg and leave bright and early tomorrow morning for Berlin to meet up with the Documentary group! Keep forgetting why I'm here, haha... I'm Off... ...well almost!! I'm in the middle of packing (trying to fit my closet into a tiny suitcase) and triple checking EVERYTHING that goes along with leaving!! SO with many months of anticipation and planning across timezones and oceans I'm finally on my way to Germany and then Paris for New Years...its gonna be a reunion on an international level. Days Under the Fijian Sun...Wish They'd Never End *Basically this was an amazing way to sum up my amazing semester...the pics show how beautiful it was and hopefully show the fun I had!!!* Nov 16th - Nadi -airport greeted with fijian welcome song -driver stopped at fruit market and I bought a pinnapple...he bought us passion fruit and bananas -stayed at Aquarius Beach Hostel...ordered food...sat on beach...talked to guy(he has traveled with a girl from my home town in ND, crazy!!) -early to sleep...really tired -------- nov 17-Nadi to South Seas -bautiful morning...ate breaky poolside -rode on an open-air bus to sea port -bought a stylish sarong and hat, i was ready to go -spent the day on the Seaspray sailboat -fruit, champagne and wine brunch...equaled bisofen(tipsy in German, thanx Christian!) -visited the Wiyanoui village -took ... read more

Roadtrippin back to the City nov 13th -early morning run along ninety mile beach...and woke up shelly to go swimming, but didn't go..oops -Kauri forest...and Tani Mahute(the largest Kauri Tree in NZ) -stopped at kauri shop...ate in dargaville...frustrating drive in auckland(I hate traffic!!!) -found sarahs' house in Auckland (Ngaire's sister) and watched Sex in the city ---------------------------- Scopping Out The Big City nov 14th -Auckland musuem -went up top of the Sky tower -tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere -360 degree view...watched the weather change -sat and chatted with my girls for a long time -ate dinner at sarah's and watched sex in the city again ---------------------------- Last Day to Explore nov 15th -visited Auckland art gallery -ate my last kabob...SAD -bought school supplies for a bag for pacific t... read more

Sitting on the edge of the world nov 12th -Drove to cape reinga, the most northern point of NZ -One of the most spiritual places for the Maori culture -It was misty and slightly spooky while hte sun was breaking through the clouds...perfect atmosphere -Spirits Bay Beach...fav beach...pink sand from all the shells and bright blue water -Shelly and I were the only ones there -wrote my sisters b-day card -planned the rest of our trip back at Ahipara while sitting on bach and in hammocks -made yummy spaghettie and garlic bread...gettin to be pretty good in the kitchen... read more

My new love...surfing, woohoo!!! Nov 11th -40 min wlk to sand dunes on ninety mile beach -took 30 min to walk up the sand dune -went sledding down...sled kept sinking so I decided to ROLL down...NOT A GOOD IDEA -in the afternoon i took surf lesson -shelly took pics like she was my mom - got up on my first try...it wasn't pretty but i did it!!! - i loved it...why do i live in the most landlocked states?!? -played "brain bender".with shelly back at hostel...told riddles...ate way to much ice cream and went to bed happy :)... read more
