Hamburg Adventures Dec 29th, Jan 3rd-5th It has been quite a while since I arrived home and sat down to add pics so this blog is a lil outdated. I'm not going to try and sum up all my time except to say It was a BLAST! I got to reunite with some of my best New Zealand and Washington DC pals. Ok, so I know I've been REALLY bad at updating, and emailing, and letting people know Im still alive (sorry Mom), but this week has been extremely crazy and out of control!! And I couldnt be happier...all of my worries were releaved this week with all the awesome shooting we got in. Hi again!! :) I'm now in Hamburg and leave bright and early tomorrow morning for Berlin to meet up with the Documentary group! Keep forgetting why I'm here, haha... I'm Off... ...well almost!! I'm in the middle of packing (trying to fit my closet into a tiny suitcase) and triple checking EVERYTHING that goes along with leaving!! Days Under the Fijian Sun...Wish They'd Never End *Basically this was an amazing way to sum up my amazing semester...the pics show how beautiful it was and hopefully show the fun I had!!!* Nov 16th - Nadi -airport greeted with fijian welcome song -driver stopped at fruit market and I bought a pinnapple...he bought us passion fruit and bananas -stayed at Aquarius Beach Hostel...ordered food...sat on beach...talked to guy(he has traveled with a girl from my home town in ND, crazy!!) -early to sleep...really tired -------- nov 17-Nadi to South Seas -bautiful morning...ate breaky poolside -rode on an open-air bus to [View Full Entry]

Week of WWOOFing nov 6th -up at dawn to pick scallions fr farmers market -water plants and clean shop -irrigation...lunch on field...woked full day...garlic fields and felt like migrant workers -went to town...no beach -beg for food ---------------------------------- nov 7th -work half day w/ irrigation -snail fight went to town with claudia...looked around kerikeri...choc factory...kauri workshop tops...truffles at rainbow falls -first shack dinner by candlelight -move chickens at 9pm ---------------------------------------------- nov 8th -made shelly big breakfast -planned for day off but worked half afternoon instead -met jonas(philisophical german) prepared vegies and put shop orders together -compost large seedling greenhouse -pig and [View Full Entry]

nov 5th - rotorua to kerikeri -packed all bags -called the "simple life girls" -drove 8 hrs straight...actually shelly did all the driving -crappy auckland traffic -lost in whangarai -no answer from the organic famer -DETOUR along narrow, gravel, twisty, farm land road...took 45 mins -horse trailer fell off the road -found farm luckily and accidentally -met marty the organic famer and other wwoofers(Willing Workers On Organic Farms)...fed pigs and got tour -met claudia(19 yr old from germany), satoshi(27 year old from japan) -75 acre farm -stayed in tiny shack and had to use a compost toilet!!!!!! ***better pics and more [View Full Entry]

Soundtrack of our NZ life... ...basically any random Maori radio station we could find!!! nov 10th -worked half day w/ french coupleth morning we left the farm...planted seedlins in green house...said our goodbyes...and grocery shopped at Kerikeri organics -Matauri Bay...amazing view...dug pods in the sand to protect from the wind -Doubtless Bay...shelly was waiting to see it the whole time we were in NZ -drove to Ahipara...stayed at Endless Summer Lodge(a surf hostel on the ocean)...built in 1880s lodge on the end of Ninety Mile Beach [View Full Entry]
