Christmas Loved your cute Christmas card and I always enjoy reading about your travels. We had a wonderful time in CA with your folks, Jonathan, and Ella Mae and Joe. Missed you though. How is the job? I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Before we know it you'll be headed home. We really want you to come to Canyon. Love you, Marilyn
Your writing was good before, but I must say school has made it even better! Great blog. But as for being the last couple in the water....for goodness sake haven't you ever seen the movie Open Water? You're just asking to be that couple. They were in fact Americans in GBR....
YAY! So glad you are back in action. It sounds like you guys are getting settled and we couldn't be more excited for you. Looking forward to hearing more about the adventures and "mundane" details of daily lives. Congrats on the job, apartment, classes, and all of it. And we're glad to hear you guys are practicing your trivia skills! Because as happy as we are for you guys, we are even more so looking forward to having you live down the block from us and be trivia teammates with us at Paxti's! (selfish I know). But in the meantime...have in blast in your new city!
just discovered your blog, awesome job guys. I have been blogging on this site for a while too and for some reason, I totally feel like we "blog alike", ha ha as cheesy as that is, bad pun blog titles and all. Anyway, jealous of the extent of your travels. I am heading to Europe for the 4th time in 10 days, and I am actually bringing t-shirts to sell to backpackers, so that's my little schtick. if you want to follow my trip, I think most of my blogs this time will be @ www.theshirtoffmybackpack.blogspot.com, but maybe I'll cut and paste them over here.

Thank YOU! Mike and Jenny! I was so excited to receive an email about a new blog post from you, I almost jumped out of my pants. Thank you so much for letting us live vicariously through you, keeping us thoroughly entertained, and sharing your travels with us. I look forward to your future travels (for your sake and mine) and PLEASE keep up the blog, because I LOVE reading it!
Love,
Anna

http://www.thephilippinesandme.com/ Ive never seen Laos before but is looks amazing and wanted to visit it :) The waterfalls are great and I hope people there do understand English same as in here (Philippines)
Visit http://www.thephilippinesandme.com/ to know more about my little country which is not far looking like laos.
Hilarious! You crack me up!! Its been 8 yrs since I was in Thailand, and my mate i've been staying with in Oz, had to leave his business after 5 yrs, when the army kicked all the lengthy tourists with fake stamps out, so I've heard there are now more Thai's on the Ko San Road at least. Wasn't really tempted back that way this time round, Cambodia would be cool, but did you see the slums, the citys built around rubbish! Where they fight off each other just to have first pickings of what comes out of the garbage trucks...dark! One tourist went to do a magazine article on it, and just made it out on time before the sun set and he was done over..seriously fucked up, but as long as we buy their coffee in cafes, and tourism supports the government, fuck the people! but that ain't coming from my own experience.
nice one mate anyway, I had a good chuckle this morning. Deezel :)
back at it again! I love that you guys had adventures, came home to re-fuel (saw me!) and are back at it again!!! It's official that you two are absolutely my heros! Who would have known a little Bacara romance would change your lives like this! Miss you both! Hope all is well! Keep the updates coming! They make this little new yorker very happy!

staring..its not just for Koreans. I loved the commentary on the staring. I'm a very tall and have blonde hair and I've spent time in Korea, China, Thailand, and Cambodia and have experienced the same thing. ( mikeandikestravel.blogspot.com )
Yes!! I love how you started off with the korean national pastime of staring contests. And great job with the korean words. It was my pleasure hosting you, I expect the return favor in Argentina...and/or San Fran.
PS my favorite pic caption has gotta be the one of Seoul Tower. :)
North Korea I thought about sneaking in an extra memory card, however when the punishment is a flurry of AK47 fire, those extra shots just aren't worth it. Looking at Aisa Air, flights to Kuala Lampur are real cheap, so get ready to see us, can't say when but we're coming to you.
Mike
P.S. I couldn't help but notice that everytime i write a blog it ends up on the homepage. I know that's your doing. Thanks for the publicity
I can't believe I can't believe you went to North Korea, wow you are so adventurous plus you 2 are so cute, I want to have your babies, ha no you both look so happy and sweet.
Captivating Wow, this was so insightful and fascinating....a first hand experience of NK. And your commentary is SO SO SO funny. Really had me rolling on the floor :)
Great stuff Mike! What do you reckon to the chances of smuggling in a spare memory card in a sock or bra? - you know for switching out at the border...
AWESOME Man what a great blog. I've been "following" your guys' travels (in the most non-creepy way since I don't really know you) and I've got to say this is one of your best blogs to date. Very powerful, glad you got to experience a place like NK. Have fun trekking the rest of Asia, can't wait for your next blog!
