Cerro torre
Hi I reached your travelblog through www.besthike.com and the picture you took of Cerro Torre is amazing! You were very luck because it´s very difficult to see it. I was there last February and couldn´t see anything because the weather was too cloudy. Congratulations!

Wow
That looks amazing, did you take all these photos yourself? They're very good - I'm heading to Ecuador in March but not to Galapagos - I wish! Snorkelling looks so much fun! - Can I ask, was it an expensive trip...maybe not even for two weeks, maybe just for a day or two?

Yes, I think those are lupines. Do lupines have pea pods? The locals plant them for extra sustinence.

Answer to question...
Sorry, that's something I haven't come across. One of my friends might know; I'll post it if I find out. Although, for others interested in the Penan people, here's a link giving some background and references: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penan They are an amazing people! Jeff

question
I was wondering if you came across the meaning of the word 'Penan'. It was my grandmother's name and my great grandmother's name. I really don't know how far back it goes on my father's side of the family.
