Blarney Stone
Hey Guys, You know what they told me after I kissed the Blarney Stone when I was in Ireland????? That the locals get drunk and then go pee on it at night because they know all the tourists are going to kiss it! Oh well, I kissed it and I am still alive! Thanks for the update! Shawna

Ahhh memories!
These pics brought me back to my days in London. How fun...but yes, very expensive. It was hard for me to believe that all those famous people you've read about were actually lying beneath the slabs I was walking by at Westminster. Thanks for posting....Steph and I were just saying the other day that neither one of us had heard from you! Miss ya!

Flood Waters
Hi Julia and Brent! The flood waters look like the scene at the Grand Lake in Oklahoma. When I crossed the bridge into my Dad's place, Friday before Father's Day, I couldn't believe all the water and flooding. Most of the travel trailers that came in for the summer, had to be pulled out of the water. Some were tetering and could have been swept out into the lake. The water rose very quickly. Looks like you are enduring the same experience. The Smurf......aahhhhhh!! I'm sure you buzz around in this little beauty. The pictures are always great for viewing and what a way to share this experience with you both. Love, Mom

That is a lot of water! From the sounds of your message, your house didn't flood, right? I hope not. I am enjoying keeping up with you in England through this blog. It is like we are all there with you. We really enjoy the comments that go along with the pics too! Hope all is well. Not raining in KC, just hot and muggy as usual. Talk to you later and take care! RE: Nice Digs
We are happy with our home...I hope things will go well with the house mates. I hear that it can snow here, but have yet to see it, however it does get fairly cold. Glad to hear that Uncle Kevin is on the mend...and enjoyed your story about his phone call...we laughed outloud. I had to endure the shots for my feet before I had surgery 14 years ago, but I had better luck...they (shots) got me through softball season. I'm sorry to hear that I will miss grandmother. Funny, Mike checking in...I remember doing that too. He is a good young man...no worries. Tell everyone hello for us.

There was no party at 12732 Flint...
Matt already told us there was no party on Saturday...you guys had him worried I guess. Our house in Scotter, UK is about the same size as our house was when we lived in Gardner to give you a reference. We are getting acquainted with the area and really like the area we chose...but it still isn't home. Our internet at the house is touch and go...so I'm having trouble keeping contact.

Nice Digs
Your new place looks very homey. I'm sure you'll adjust to your house mates. It snowed here on Wednesday, just a couple of inches. Does it snow there? I'm not familiar with the different types of weather you'll get there. Brent, the Royals are 1-2. The Red Sox Japanese pitcher shut them down on Thursday. Looks like he's really good. Kevin got us seats for sometime in June when Heidi's husbands team is in town. Speaking of Kevin, the last several weeks he has been suffering with back pain. It was so bad he couldn't even walk. Finally got an MRI last week and found out he had a ruptured disc. Got a shot on Monday for pain relief but it didn't work. The pain was so bad he went into surgery on Wednesday. I talked to him Wednesday afternoon afterwards and he was already able to walk. His meds goofed him up but as he said "Hey, Jake, I'm not so fucked up that I couldn't remember your number." Talked to him Thursday and he wanted to go back to work but Julie wouldn't let him. Mom is in KC this week until next Friday. All is well here. Mike is 16, has a girl friend, and stops by the house every once in a while to check in. Take care. Jason

Yeah...No Regrets
I have thought about purchasing a whole bunch of the "Mean People Suck" stickers to hand out to people. I sincerely hope that we (Americans) don't treat foreigners in the same way I have experienced things in the last two weeks. It has been pretty sad...I've never felt so out of place in my life...and not in a good way out of place (awesome opprotunity to see different parts of the world). At this point, I can't wait to come home...the experience thus far has not been pleasant.

Regarding the F Bomb
Trust me...I continue to use it...the F Bomb...frequently. I have yet to find anything that even closely resembles a Target.

Like you said . . .
No regrets, right! I miss you guys but envy you too. What an awesome opprotunity to see part of the world that is so rich in history and beauty! I loved your quote but also remember the bumper sticker that says, "Mean People Suck" and don't let them ruin your time there. We miss you guys and we will also follow along on your trip. I wish we could be there with you. Love ya and hang in there!

Stereotypes...what stereotypes?!?
It has been a rough start to our adventure, and as of right now, I'm certain that every stereotype is true of the folks who hangout and work at the hotel. They are really miserable individuals.
