Hi you jetsetters Just read all your blogs together as do not often go into this e mail and keep having to re set password as keep forgetting it. I am not at all organised. We had a good week away with great weather. However I have now got flu and been very poorly over the last few days although I feel I am improving now slowly. It is years since I had this. You seem to be having a great time and doing plenty of motoring. Enjoy the rest of your trip and we look forward to seeing you on your return.
Stunning Hi there, What a wonderful trip and stunning scenery. Hope you enjoy Washington. It was strange to see you in crops stood in the snow, did it feel strange? I always associate snow with thick coats and wellies. Keep on posting photos and info it's great to read. See you when you get home. Love Gill
Yardbirds The Yardbirds ? Obviously won't be Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck or Jimmy Page and Keith Relf's dead !
Glad your having a great time. Big gas explosion in Scunthorpe today on Ashby Road near Lloyd's Avenue, caused evacuation and horrendous traffic chaos.
Italy Hi, loved the blog and the photos, never wanted to go to Italy before but this has given me a real desire to see it for myself. Keep on enjoying yourselves. Temp here has dropped to around mid teens so enjoy the heat while you can. Love Gill
Thanks for your comments. Hi Gill, Funny you should say that because George has never really been too bothered about Italy although many years ago we went to Sicily and also Venice. He has really enjoyed it all and we are already planning another trip. If you want to go to Florence or Rome make it much earlier in the year as it was nearly 40 degrees in Florence yesterday. We are now in the French Alps and it is much cooler. XX
Fabulous I am green with envy, it all looks lovely. We are having a hot spell again in England only 20 degrees, but still welcome. Carry on having a great trip and keep the blog coming. See you soon love Gill.
Thanks for your comments. Hi Dave and Merry Jo.

Graceland Hello Natalie, thanks for your comments. Graceland was fantastic even if you are not an ardent Elvis fan. We were on a fly drive of the Southern States and we went to Tupelo in Mississippi first which is where Elvis was born. We just went along to Graceland and bought a ticket on the door. Can't remember how much we paid but it was quite expensive. There are various packages whether you just want to see the house or do a more comprehensive tour. It is worth it and we would like to do it again someday. We actually stayed in Arkansas just across the Mississippi River and drove to Graceland, Memphis was a wonderful experience as was Nashville in fact we really enjoyed visiting all the Southern States. Best Wishes rosemary
Billy the Kid Hello Chris. Thanks for your comments, have you been to the grave?
There is a small museum at the site although there is some doubt as to whether this is actually the place where he is buried. The museum was a bit run-down and not to the standard we have come to expect in the USA but it does explain fully the violent life and times they lived in, mainly through written evidence. If you are particularly interested in Billy the Kid then I am sure you would find it very enlightening. Rosemary
information on Graceland- Memphis How was it in Graceland- Memphis the home of Elvis Prelsey did you have to pay for everything you looked at, so house, plane and motoercycles and those headphones and recorder machine etc ? And did you get public transport so on a coach to where you where staying in a hotel near by Graceland to visit Graceland for a day and did you do your booking beforwe you left to go to Memphis ? As I'm thinking of going there in the future years to come. And did you get a lot of information on Memphis before you left for Memphis as well ? Thanks for reply if you do ! Billy the Kid Hello there,
Im Chris and i live in England. Im half american, my biological father lives in kentucky and was born there, he also served in vietnam.. I have been over there 4 times to visit my family and fell deeply into all kinds of american history..None has touched me more than the history of William H Bonney aka Billy the Kid. I have noticed your photos of new mexico and wondered if ou had any more that you might find time to e-mail to me? or do you know much about this famous outlaw? any info would be great.. I have just finished the book Billy the Kid - A short and violent life, it was great but i cant seem to get hold of anymore or is there anymore? I believe Pat Garrett wrote a book about the life and times? Hope to hear back from you,chris..
Welcome home Hope you have arrived safely and well.
Just a note to say thank you for sharing those wonderful journeys with us. Both Christine and I feel like we have been with you both on this journey. Fabulous pictures and commentary, and dare I say, educational as well.
