Very cool! Curiously enough, Sarajevo seems to be a hot topic here - Angelina Jolie just announced she'll soon be filming a love story that takes place during the Bosnian war. Today I turn on NPR and Rick Steves was on talking about his trip to Dubrovnik and Mostar!
Another great one! Sarajevo looks incredible. Tell me we'll go there one day - even if we only ever talk about it. =) (Name the movie) -- I know how you love guessing games and I am not there for our amazing guessing game marathons. And please for the love of god keep seeking out vegetables!! haha. Can't wait for the next one my dear......
No words to describe....... I felt it rather vital that I be the first to comment on this most spectacular first Pippa-less Pipaya blog. First of all - I am glad you attempted the Pippa concoction for the restful flight...it sounds like you made a great effort. However, as I am on the precipice of beginning my career in Nutrition - I have to somewhat disapprove of this "Croatian" diet. Do me a favor and question the local custom and have a vegetable here and there =) But of course keep drinking the beer! Its all about balance. I am glad you made it through the long stint in Frankfurt -- I wish I could have been there to try to come up with ways to get you to stop being a penny pincher. Anyway, my love, I miss you tremendously and absolutely LOVED reading about the beginning of your adventure. I am your biggest fan. Next time it'll be back to the non-Pippa-less Pipaya blog!!! <3
Holy Crap you guys were out of touch for a long time! It was worth the wait though because the entrepreneur at the local internet hut has given me an inspiring model for how to handle my own office work. Nice pics too! I'm jealous you got to meet an actual tailor.
Ain't no mound high enough ;-) Hey Pipaya,
just wanted to say how nice it was to have you both here. It was really fun with you two.
Maybe this explains my subconscious attempt to hold you a little longer in cologne. ;-) (My conscious is still feeling a little guilty about it though )
Hope you got well to Kerala and keep up with your amazingly funny blog. Really luv it!

"Nein"?? "Nein...Michael is not in the office." "Nein...Your neighbors mothers dogs Medicaid case is not something we have time to care about." Doesn't it just bring TEARS to your eyes, Pippa? But what a GREAT post from Maya! I guess friends are friends across the ages...and continents! Thank you for inspiring all of us to keep in touch. Also, for giving me something to read at 4:30 on Hump Day, here in the U S of A! If you hit Switzerand, buy a watch, or two? Better back-track, Ladies!! ;-P
hey Love your blog. Loved it at Cinque Terre and thought I'd commented but turns out I didn't so I'm trying again at Tory's urging. Great accordion picture. If you see a street organ, take a picture for me. Love, Tory's mom
ummm your blog about budapest is beyond amazing. And your pictures are gorgeous. Maya I love the one of you in Vienna. UM I LOVE YOU GUYS SOOOOOOOOOOOO MCUH I MEAN I LOVE YOU PIPAYA ALMOST TO JUST ONE MONTH LEFT THANK GOD ( i thank god at least)
Certainly Spooky! Hmmm..Maya seems to have disappeared (or turned into a smiling ghost!) somewhere between Buda and Pest!
And, thank you for returning to us after your arduous journey! We had to keep Susan calm. We thought you'd been taken hostage in your wine-filled tunnel! :-P All best..onward!!
love it! i LOVE the pictures. but not as much as i love you! thank you again for the lovely birthday call from budapest - that was definitely the best birthday gift ever and it made my day!!! love you love you love you!!
Adventures! So I'm thinking of starting up a new blog..."The Adventures of Jenn and Pippa's Old Jalopy." Kidding, of course, but me and BB certainly sound like one this morning as the front underside muffler pipe has finally rusted out and cracked. Luckily, all was welded in so nothing actually fell off, but we certainly will wake-y the neighbors until this weekend when Brian plays Mr. fix-it. (It's his favorite!) Keep smiling and we shall hope there are no more peltings for you!!! Must keep the Gods happy, girls!
Ciao! The pics say it all! So happy to see you guys are having fun. I have to admit, reading your blog does inspire a certain amount of envy. But then I remind myself that pretty soon it will be Exit Stage Left - beauty and romance and history; Enter Stage Right - chaos, crowds and chikungunya! :)
Got your postcard today, can't believe it got here so quickly! A package I sent in May to my friend Rajni just reached its destination in India a few weeks ago!
All's well here. We miss you lots!
Best friends since the first day we met in college. No, really. BEST FRIENDS. Now that we're done with college, in an attempt to continue escaping reality, we are off on a 3 month sojourn to see a lot of Europe and a little of India with the hopes of achieving an epiphany, the likes of which will lead us to our mutual callings. ... full info
