The main if not only reason for visiting Siem Reap was to go to the Temples of Angkor. The temples span over an area as large as Manhattan in the US and were built over a period of 600 years during this time being occupied by various Kings and had a population larger than London. We bought a 3 day pass and hired a tuk tuk driver to take us round starting with the smaller temples on the first day

The next stop on our Cambodian journey was to a small town called Pursat a few hours drive North West of Phnom Penh. The town was extremely small and there wasnt really alot we wanted to do or could do here. So we decided to make the most of our one night and as soon as we had found a Guest House and checked in we were off in another Tuk Tuk a few kilometres out of town to the bamboo train o

After a rather uncomfortable train journey we had to pick hard seat sleeper as there were no other seats left we arrived 2 hours later than scheduled in the town of Danang. As arranged our hotel sent someone to collect us in a large taxi and took us to our hotel in Hoi An a short drive away. The hotel itself is really pretty with a large courtyard and a pool in the middle.
Sadly we had to leave Dalat and see what our next destination of Nha Trang had to offer.Lys at our hotel booked our bus tickets to Nha Trang. The coach was comfortable and we had the usual free bottles of water and wet wipes handed round. None of us were particularly looking forward to the journey but it actually turned out to be really good. We went east towards Nha Trang on the new road

We checked in to our Bangkok airport hotel for our 3 night stay whilst waiting for my Mum and Peter to arrive. We took a taxi to Khao San Road where we had visited 2 years before. It hadnt changed much apart from there seemed to be alot more street sellers and stalls set up along the road. We bought a few bits nice and cheap compared to Malaysian prices and then took another taxi to the massi
