Much Appreciated - From: Komodo Dragons and Flores, the Flower Island
Our experience at the Dempasar airport was exactly the same. I don't know what the issue is at the airport - and the ATMs still don't work and yes, the woman wanted the money for the flights in cash. It was surreal and very frustrating indeed. However, we leave for Flores day after tomorrow and our spirits are lifted by your experience of seeing the dragons. Also very useful to know no ATMs or internet. We were throwing up whether to stay at the hill hotel or take the more expensive option and we will take the more expensive accommodation option. Cheers, Karen

hello and thanks - From: Ultimate Destination:Bangkok
Hi Viv and John, I've really enjoyed reading your blogs (from Australia to Thailand). I'm preparing our own trip to South-East Asia on which we'll be embarking on June 1st, for 4 months. It was interesting to see the places in Australia where I've lived and traveled in the dry season; they look so different in the wet! (I've been in Australia for just over a year now) You've given us some more insider information on good places to stay, and also places to avoid. I hope you'll get a respite from the rain for the rest of your trip. Many thanks and enjoy! Martin

Groveland is a charming town - From: Groveland & Yosemite
Our yosemite cabin reservations were cancelled at Curry Village because of the rock slide dangers. We booked a cabin at Yosemite Pines Rv Resort & Lodging in Groveland http://www.yosemitepinesrv.com/yosemite-lodging-cabins-yurts.html. Although not in Yosemite National Park the cabins were newer and nicer than Curry Village. We found Groveland to be a really charming town.
