Re: Geisha in Kyoto Penn and Dave,
Loved the photos of the Bamboo place..Beautiful....and Penny I would have crouched down too to get a photo like that. Unreal...I love this sort of culture because it is just so different to ours...
Now the haircut? It looks like Penny did a good job, Well you know now Dave she can always cut your hair...
And eating in the street publicly is wrong over there...yeah I actually knew that one...so I laughed...you have to be careful too as sometimes in their cultures they curse you in the streets with their laungage and you wouldn't even know...But hey look on the bright side, You cleansed your sins away....
Love the Haircut - nothing wrong with it!
Look forward to your next travel blog entry...
Re: The Transport Sign Penn and Dave,
Actually...the sign I forgot to mention - "You should be as wide as your bottom and not your legs"...Well my next Question is... How did you go sitting in there Dave...as wide as your bottom or your legs?
Sorry had to ask...It was a funny Sign....Could almost be sent in to ROVE's "WHAT THE?" segment on returning home.

Re: Bring on Karate Kid 3 or 4 - I forget? Penn and Dave,
It looked beautiful there from your pictures and your description of the place. Very peaceful looking too. As for the robes...I thought the two of you looked quite elegant. I expect Dave did get his own so he can practice his "Wax on and Wax off" moves for his next Karate Kid movie when he hits back down on Australian soil.
Look forward to your next blog....

Re: The Japanese are smaller than the average Person! Penn and Dave,
I laughed at that photo of Dave in the hall way beside the door...So my guess would have been that he hit his head nearly every morning going out and every day returning back. Yes I believe when you train it anywhere there, it is spot the Aussie as because of the height and Aussie features we all have. Go do something for me...Say some Australian slang to them and see their reaction!
Keep Safe....And get that RnR needed from the traffic at peak hour....Bless your souls! I would have ended up swearing!

Watching What you Eat? Penn and Dave,
I laughed out Loud so much reading your update on your travel eating habits....From the Pot Heads in Hawaii, Penny's Cupcakes Delights, Dave wearing all his clothes to avoid extra luggage costs to Cow's Blood Pancakes and Liver Burgers....Ohhhh YUCK! I would have vomited and almost did reading it!
You guys look like you are having fun in all your pictures and are obviously getting much needed knowledge on what to expect from your next pitt stop...
Ohh here is a tip for the Net Hawk....Ask him if he has a LIFE?
All the best for your next Travels...

CHOCOLATE....UMMMMM!!! Penny and Dave,
I can't believe you only chose 3! I would have raided the shop. The next best thing is chocolate, ask any girl!!!! and it makes everything better, no matter whats going on around you. I think I eat too much of it. Sorry Penny...I am with Dave on the chocolate..I would have bought up big and eaten it too...

Those Cows! Dave,
You are such a laugh...I sat at my desk at work and everyone was wondering what I was laughing at! That clip of the cow bells. Well my day just does not compare to those cows and their bells.

The Best Things in Life are Free... Penny and Dave,
Well almost true in comparison to spending what the true celebrity types would pay. Sounds like you guys are having a ball. I enjoyed the photo of Dave in your hostel...ARRRR brought back memories of my backpacking days...

Ahhhhh - Sex and the City Fans!!!! Penny and Dave,
I hope you went and saw the movie! I grew up with that show...Along with the show "Friends" as Penny you would have too. It is amazing your bog entries, I am laughing all the way with you and enjoying your blogs. The two of you... and Penny I agree the mattresses that you get when backpacking just can't be explained or put to words unless you have experienced it yourself. Good Luck with your adventures...

Where in the world is Mrs. Hamsteak? The Big Ham took a raincheck on the world trip. She didn't cope with the cabin pressure very well, lost loads of weight, (literally! Danielle accused us of breaking off her head, sucking the life outta her and sticking it back on again), and has returned home to Jack's toybox where she belongs......
a short penwa treat pen it was so nice to have you here even if it seemed like 24hours and then you vanished again but hope you are loving europe and i am being thoroughly entertained by the blogs-will pass on to hamster. luv to u both-berd
Travelling Success... Penny and Dave,
I can't believe you are both in Hawaii. I've always wanted to go. Aaron has been there. He did the big moloki outrigging race over there. Yes I know! Long way. He wants to go back and do it again however, Zane and I will be travelling with him next tiime. Make sure when your over there, have a blast. He loved it. The Hawaians have a really unique culture, Gosh listen to me...he has a tattoo of their symbol on his back along with the rest of his other tats.
Glad to hear you are both enjoying everything...
I have done the whole backpacking thing through Indonesia...before all the trouble over there now...when I was 19. It is funny to see the way other cultures work...especially when you come accross people with pot and god knows what else. I will give you a heads up...I walked into a restraunt in the back streets of Bali "totally unaware" of what I had ordered until the waiter came out and said "our magic mushrooms" in food are best, Aussie Girls like you love them. I took one look at my food...did not touch it paid fo it and left. Yes I know I was a young and niave, blonde idiot! They nicknamed me on the trip Barbie Girl...And at the time that stupid song was out "Barbie Girl"... In my defence I started to learn some of their language. It wasn't that hard. So my backpacking days with firends now seem funny....I could tell you some stories or two..believe me.
Take Care...Look After yourselves! And have a Blast!
Regards.....with travelling "Piggy" in toe..
Rosanne
P.S Name suggestion for pig, Babe, Wilbur?
I understand now oh you have taken a soft toy pig with you, I didn't even know that. All makes sense to me now. You don't need a reason at all. It's cute. I expect to see photos of 'the pig' with many world icons.
Makin' Bacon I dunno, just thought it would be cool to give the little gal a name.
Truth is though, she has hardly seen the light of day!
As to why she is journeying with us - Do we need a reason? Who doesn't want to travel with a mini-pig!
