Bike Tour 2008 - The Unconventional Tour - West Africa

a trip by Barry Kaiser
From: October 31st 2008
Until: November 22nd 2008

I have been wanting and planning to travel to Sub-Sahara Africa for 16 years. Safety issues have always spooked me before I got too serious about the trip. After much research, I think I have found a part of Africa (Ghana, Togo, and Benin) that minimizes those risks, but at the same time makes for a good cycling trip. I\'m not really sure what to expect, as this is the last part of the world that I haven\'t been to culturally. I\'m sure a theme will develop as the trip progresses. The trip goes from October 31st, to November 22nd.
