It was the perfect concert for a laid back Saturday: a group of Panamanian authors (and a Spanish guy named Jesus Garriga, from Canarias) singing their own songs with a guitar. It started with the Pink Ribbon campaign (totally unrelated to the Theatre, however!) for breast cancer awareness, but it will continue with more interesting activities such as a special Gala Performance by the National Ballet of La Bayadere (featuring Alexa Gutierrez from Panama and Ivana Kozomara from Belgrado) and Madame Butterfly. I was involved in one of those student associations at the university (studying Tourism Administration or something of the sort) and one of our teachers, who had studied diplomacy in Cuba (go figure!) encouraged us to organize a fair and invite someone in Cuba as a speaker.
