www.ArcoProperties.com After being away for a while, I´ve decided to post a series of photos "Before and After" of Casco Viejo. Some of them are of 1885 and with comparisons of when the city started to crumble and then today´s photos of restored buildings. So it is really a Super Before, Before, in the Meantime, and Now photos! Enjoy.... According to UNESCO´s book on Casco Viejo, the original "Presidential Palace" was really a very simple colonial style building that was used as the Royal Accounts building (Real Contaduría). It was close to the "Sea Door" where they could easily process all paperwork for merchandise and count the coins of gold....
