We are two, soon to be graduates from the University of San Diego who are preparing to embark on an epic journey through Central America and beyond. We have purchased a 1980 International Loadstar School Bus, which we will spend the summer converting into an RV. Due to increasingly astronomical prices, we plan on outfitting the bus with a biodiesel processor that will allow us to make our own fuel for less than $1/gallon. Please check back for updates on our progress, and get excited for the official launch of PanAmBioBus.com on June 1, 2008!!! The site will begin as a step-by-step follow-along of our bus build, which will include a section on our crash-course in biodiesel production. Once the conversion process is complete, PanAmBioBus.com will allow visitors to track our progress through Latin America via pictures, video and various writings about the places we visit and our experiences. This website will undoubtedly be a fun and informative resource for anyone interested in travel, biodiesel, alternative energy in general and of course, sheer adventure. We look forward to sharing our experience with everyone, and graciously welcome all questions and/or comments. Panambiobus@gmail.com
