This was probably the most extreme trips I had been on because each day was packed with things to do plus a quick flight. It was also pretty draining because late nights plus early mornings equals me being really tired. But it was also one of the coolest and emotional trips because http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Cambodia/South/Phnom-Penh/blog-385562.html Vietnam A Two Day Tour Wow these countries are really flying by. I am actually just eight hours from China while writing this so please excuse any mistakes and the shortness of this and the next post. Since I chose to do a big trip to Cambodia during our time in Vietnam I was only able to spend two days in Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City. However I tried to get the most out of those two days. The first I participated i http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Vietnam/Southeast/Ho-Chi-Minh-City/blog-385550.html Thailand An Intro to Asia Well this trip is just flying by at this point because it is already time for another blog post. I just left Thailand two days ago and I am already preparing for Vietnam because we do not have a lot of time in between ports until after Japan. But back to Thailand. I chose to go on a really big SAS trip to Phuket and Bangkok for my time in Thailand. So after a long days travel the first day we fi http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Phuket/blog-383696.html India A Country of Variance The next major stop on our voyage was India. Since I am in a slight time crunch right now I am going to be in Thailand in like 6 hours I am going to not be as wordy in this post and just highlight the main events. The first thing I noticed and most people would agree with me was that India smells. A lot. I woke up and the smell of exhaust dirt and other less than glamorous smells had seeped http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Tamil-Nadu/Chennai/blog-381699.html South Africa Cape Town and the Safari of a Lifetime The country that I have been most surprised by thus far has definitely got to be South Africa. S. Africa was one of the countries that was added when they changed our itinerary after the Somali pirates incident. I must say when I first found out about this change I was kind of disappointed. I had never had a strong urge to visit Africa and I was going to miss the Egyptian pyramids because of thi http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/South-Africa/Western-Cape/Cape-Town/blog-378206.html An Experience in Namibia Sorry for the ridiculous amount of time between posts. I have been so busy since Namibia with school work and another big trip in South Africa. But now to the point of this post Namibia. I went into Namibia expecting absolutely nothing special thinking of it as more of a stop to make sure we do not lose our minds on the ship. This mindset proved to be the best part of this stop. When we reached http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Namibia/Walvis-Bay/blog-376719.html Morocco We have just left Morocco and I can hardly describe the amazing and almost otherworldly experience. But before I get to Morocco I have to explain our interesting arrival. First of all we lost a day in Morocco because of a storm in the Straits of Gibraltar where we were attempting to refuel. I say ldquoattemptingrdquo because the seas were so rough that the refueling station was just too http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Morocco/Grand-Casablanca/Casablanca/blog-371318.html Cadiz Spain Well I guess it is about time for another update. We have just left Spain and the time there was truly amazing. It was incredible trying to immerse myself into the culture. I was lucky enough to go on three dramatically different trips that gave me a real sense of the different parts of Spain. My first day in Spain was spent in Cadiz the city that our ship was ported in. I went on a 6 or 7 hour c http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Spain/blog-369241.html Almost There So we have been at sea for about nine days now and I think I am one of the few people on the ship who are not losing their minds. I love it out here. Reading for class is so much better when you can go out on the deck and watch for marine life One dolphin and one whale sighting today. I have met some really nice people who will provide a good group of friends to hang out with and I am still en http://www.travelblog.org/Oceans-and-Seas/Atlantic/blog-367804.html Here are some pictures too Forgot to change size of the pictures before last post so logged off while I was doing that to not waste internet time. http://www.travelblog.org/Oceans-and-Seas/Atlantic/blog-366128.html The Bahamas and First Few Days Onboard Ok so now that I have my internet and everything set up it is time to get this blog going. The Bahamas were pretty cool. The hotel I stayed in was amazing and I got to watch the stupid Eagles lose to the Cardinals on a big screen projector. The next day my roommate for the night Alex and I went to the port to get on the ship we have been told many times that it is NOT a boat. The M.V. Explorer http://www.travelblog.org/Oceans-and-Seas/Atlantic/blog-366119.html Trying to figure out how to use this... I am not sure if the internet gods hate me or if I am truly some sort of retard but this travelblog is far more difficult to use than I anticipated. Hopefully this time everything works out as I want it to. My mother is still going insane and my Semester at Sea trip is fast approaching. Stay tuned for more posts. http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Texas/San-Angelo/blog-363083.html
