Syd and Mic Oceania
Well arrived back in sydney and it reminded me of what a great city it is! Named after some guy called .......er........ oh yeah sydney thats right who thought it would be a great colony for a first settlement with its superb harbour. That evening we checked into central YHA which has been voted the best hostel in Australia and its obvious why, there isnt anything they havent got! We went out that evening to the bar around the corner as we had some drink vouchers given by oz experience that unfortunately needed using up. Met up with all the surfing [View Full Entry]

Exactly what it says! Arrived in Byron Bay late in the evening, exhausted and ready for some food and a good sleep. Offcourse after a few wines and a chill out on the beach. I have to also put a special mention to Giles' beach mat which has made itself useful throughout the trip despite recieving a lot of stick from many people with its distinct likeness to a 'man bag'when he carries it! Unfortunately the beach mat got it in more ways than 1 by the hostel dog this night who took an unhealthy sexual interest in it (say no [View Full Entry]

Well weve travelled down to surfers paradise for 4 night doing the obvious - (Building sandcastles!), stayed at a great backpackers called the sleepy surfers inn. Went to dream world one day - a large theme park just outside surfers for a bit of an adrenalin rush! Had the compulsory koala picture and blew a digereedoo or two. Now back in Brisbane about to head of to Byron bay!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last night in the pub quiz at the hostel (needless to say we won) i satdown - only to find that i was sat next to a lad i used to coach [View Full Entry]

I met danny at Magnetic island and we had the free car for the day, not to mention lugging around a few tables together in 37 degrees for 2 hours (for free beer that night!). Hes now gone sailing but we hope to meet up again on the surf route at byron bay. From byron bay Giles and i set of too kroombit for a farm stay evening and day. Hi guys, well this has been a while coming but hey its worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I left you in magnetic island at a bit of a lose end, well from the internet room on my way back i guy approached and asked me if i was interested in a dive, After talking for a while i asked him how much to dive the yongala, a huge steam ship which was sunk in a storm 3 hours from the island. One thing lead to another and 30 minutes later i ended up commencing on an advanced scuba diving course. The course included plenty [View Full Entry]
