Today we went to the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. It is hard to believe it was the last day. Tonight we had a goodbye party by the pool with pizza. Today we left Heidiland. See picture of mountains from my balcony. Just gorgeous. We stopped in Lucerne for a little shopping for chocolate and knives and then off again for France. Today we will meet to say goodbye to our homestays. We will meet the bus about 10am German time and head to Switzerland. The leaders have run into a few students as we have been about and they all have smiles. Only one student had a touch of homesickness but Bruce has seen her personally and she is much better. This a couple of days combined. On the 23rd we traveled and had a one-on-one interview with a concentration camp survivor. Another P2P group from California met him at the same time. His interpreter came in first and told us the speaker would not allow any photos, gum chewing, slouching, or sleeping. With a beginning so strict I wasn't sure how he would be but the speaker was amazing. He said out of the group he was in at the camp of 800 boys 4 survived. He lost 19 relatives. We are in our home stay now and I have Internet. Yeah!!!! Here is some more information about our travels. Tuesday the 22nd we continued to beautiful Sirnitz, Corinthia. Here we discovered the life of the Austrian mountain farmers. The weather was cool, no crowds, and no vendors. We don't have to constantly count to make sure we are all present. We have so much to tell you, but unfortunately it will have to wait because I am typing from the front desk of our Austria stay. That is the only Internet available here right now. The first night the hotel did not have Internet and we got back to the hotel to late to walk to the Internet cafe. The next night we camped in a Medieval village and of course....no Internet. We had a great day. We visited the Leaning Tower of Piza, cleaned a beach, and have rode about 180 miles to our next destination. The scenery was beautiful. Since it was such a slow day I have included a few pictures to see if you can recognize your student.
