Bracelet I've stopped wearing it actually. It was only plated, and it started to wear off and reacted with my skin. So my bargain was closer to a robbery!!
Another great adventure. I was amazed at your treatment by the airlines. You must have found someone who liked Kiwi's and Aussie's or someone who was in a good mood. That is fantastic. Love the tripe taco and very nice shots of Pyramid of the moon.
Pacific Northwest Thanks for your comment. We loved the Pacific Northwest and are looking forward to going back there again!! We didn't get a chance to try the fish, but did enjoy the show!
Glad you got to spend some time in one of my favorite places in the U.S - Pike Place Market! The drugs and thugs problem used to be a lot worse on 1st Ave and Western; I suppose if they were keeping it to a doorway and not the public park on the water that's an accomplishment. Hope you got to try some of the salmon on offer from Pike Place Fish - it might be a show but it's not just for tourists! The guys there are just genuinely friendly. I still get my fish there every time I go back, and purchased there for years when I lived downtown. Looks like fun! You're blog made me miss the PNW.
Enjoy the Trans-Siberian! We got lucky with our timing I guess with the game and then the DOA concert! Loved Vancouver, and the Canadians we met there too. Enjoy your Trans-Siberian adventure - it really is a fantastic trip :D

We love your writing style You have an excellent way with words. If you get back to SF while we are here we'd love to hook up again. It is good to know we were in the presence of a guru! We are glad you made it to Muir Woods....being in the presence of those great trees makes you ponder the universe. Happy travels. Keep in touch.
loving the news Hey Guys,
So love the photo's of Joshua Trees. Thanks for sharing the trip with us - saves us the money! But you are right we can only get a tiny taste of what you're experiencing. I remember the contrasts too, Disneyland one day Tijuana the next. Love to you both. Yvette.
We Miss you! Hi Friends! We miss you guys terribly up here in Victoria and are looking forward to reading your upcoming blog posts, aka living vicariously through you! All the best in Central & South America!
When penny & I were in LA 2 years ago at much this time of year we had a very untypical LA experience - we drove to a friend's full of character fairly ramshackle house - rented on a long term basis with the rents controlled - that was 2 blocks from the beach in Santa Monica; and didn't get in the car again until we left for the airport. Had a lovely time in the sunshine on the beach and walking the streets of Santa Monica. Glad to hear all is well - life's going well at Hume :) Cold and wet though - and there's still a lot of winter to go

In Jan 2007 we set out on an overland journey from Asia to Europe overland. From India, via Nepal, Tibet, China, Mongolia, Russia and Europe ... destination Ireland, with no flights. Trains, buses, tuk-tuks, boats, bikes, yak, camel, and rickshaws all formed the basis of our travels.
Suze spent a year living and working in Ireland (in between all the long weekends away), Dave returned to Oz for 6 months but re... full info
