My friend Cheryl's muchlauded wedding to her intended Mike closed a 2year engagement with a rather lavish lovely 2 day affair with 61 guests holed up in a 15thcentury castle hidden on a hill about 30 minutes drive from Siena in the Tuscan countryside all paid up too by the happy couple. I went http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Tuscany/Siena/blog-291638.html Long Time No Loaf Today is the first time I've had in weeks and weeks to think about anyhting else except work. We went to press our our June issue yesterday so today is the postpress chill. My editor asked me to try and write an entry on our website's blog. I'm half obedient I'm writing a blog just not the magazine's.Actually having the time doesn't mean I've got the headspace free. It's rare that I have days http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/blog-279028.html Lenin Days of Chunder OK I am not in Berlin right now truth be told I'm in London at work. I had my first chance to travel since last year when Alexis and I took four days to visit Berlin and Hamburg three weeks ago and me with a rubbish cold and sore ears. It was just good to get back on the road in some way just for four days to get on a plane and go somewhere they don't speak English as a first language see http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/District-of-Berlin/Berlin/blog-255499.html Paying Rent Bills and Attention This is the first chance I've had to update my blog well technically I created the chance I'm at work at 6.30pm on Monday press week since christmas when life was very different. Back in those golden days I had almost two straight weeks of pure loafery to get through compounded by a sheer rock face of food to eat my way through coming at me from my boyfriend's parents and my own being http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/London-City/blog-238095.html The Newest of New Years I haven't had any time to write my blog for the last two weeks but now that I have five minutes I actually have some news.I'm going back into honest guv employment in 08. I should be starting the year as Deputy Editor of a financial magazine based in Soho the name and company of which I'll keep to myself until I have signed on the dotted line in my own blood. But I've been offered this job and h http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/London-City/blog-228820.html Or Did I Dream It I don't have too much to report on my blog this week but I've committed to writing it every week so here it is. Christ next week is December its christmas. Not only has two months since I got home from my trip passed at a pace of like Mach 2 but the anniversary of my departure November 9 also came around quick. On that day last year at 10am I was packing my mochila backpack in spanish a http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/Hackney-Central/blog-224016.html The Littl'est Hobo Can't Be Lassie Too I almost forgot to to this week's entry in OneHorseTownLoaferville which must be a sign of something since that's never happened but I dunno what. It's been a pretty rough week since I've been sick it got very cold suddenly and everything became harder. Boo fucking hoo eh. I had to take Friday off work because I was too ill. I didn't like doing that now I'll have to work a Monday to make the http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Hampshire/Fleet/blog-220688.html 5.30 Mariachi Music Break Having spent four years languishing in a tin pot arsebanditry joke of a company where the sole life aims of the management appeared to be nothing short of driving its staff to suicide or cocaine addiction while forcing them to take the bullet for very poorly published items I have to express my surprise relief and delight in temping for a firm which is the polar opposite. It has just turned http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/blog-217949.html Friends They're Great I'm writing this week's blog from the comforts of Becki and Paul's living room plonked upon a warm leather couch laptop perched on lap glass of white to my left mobile phone next to it telly to my right. My belly is happy having been fed a thai noodle creation that Bex cooked and I will retire after this to a very comfy double bed in my own room. In the morning I will get up and have a hot s http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/London-City/blog-215968.html Bye Dolie Freaks What an uncomsumate professional. I am writing this from the comfort of one of those specially designedforprofessionalcomfort chairs in the office of a wealth management consultancy I'd say 'Boutique' its a small firm with big contracts at ten past four on a Wednesday when I should be finishing this survey I'm writing. But I'm taking a breakout meeting of one to update my blog and chart th http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/London-City/blog-214189.html Down On The Upside Things are looking up. After dragging my arse around agencies and meetings with contacts getting a haircut and dry cleaning my suits I've managed to secure some work of decent pay and in central London. I'm excited. But today I'm also depressed. I just got home from a fairly uneventful night at a friend's mum's jewellery flogging night at her house but I wasn't in the sparkliest of moods and pr http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Hampshire/Fleet/blog-212104.html Big In Cyberspace Small in Publishing I've changed the name of my travelblog to OnehorsetownLoaferville adapting it to suit my new position in life that is unwashed in my pyjamas and hoodie all day generally loafing. I doubt it will make as interesting reading for those kind or bored enough to read my blog over the past year who found tales of death roads in Bolivia and surfing in Sydney but I've decided to continue the blog a http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Hampshire/Fleet/blog-209211.html Fleet. It's As Exciting As You'd Imagine After South America My second week back in England is well underway. Being stuck in darkest Fleet a small town in Hampshire with a lot of trees chavs security guards outside pubs and traffic humps is what you can make of it I've found unavoidably dull to look at you've just got to keep moving thinking trying to get back to London basically in order to alleviate the boredom. Or spend all night on msn talki http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Hampshire/Fleet/blog-207755.html Borders Buses Burgers The Last Fortnight I am in Sao Paolo Brazil counting down my last week of my trip. I am writing from my parents computer in Fleet a contender for the Crap Towns trophy marooned penniless jobless and mobile phoneless in the centre of a huge sprawling modern housing estate with its own church school and Morrisons from which once should never need to leave except if they should wish to taste the sweet nectar of freedom from the shackles of crushing http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Hampshire/Fleet/blog-204853.html Meat and Mincing in BA Holy shit its the 31st of August and I have until September 22 to see Uruguay and Southern Brazil. I am in Buenos Aires where Ive been polishing my loafery award with Alexishelp since last Sunday.
