Welcome
Hi man, Yes there's nobody there, there's roads wide enough so you could build your house in the middle without disturbing the circulation, there's plenty of half-build abandonned buildings and the hotels are all empty. You feel there's a problem of ghost city here and you are not so wrong. Welcome to Beihai ! More seriously you just came in when the weather turned bad. Also that's not the touristic season yet and that part of Beihai is very very touristic dependant. Are you still in Beihai now ? Welcome for a beer ! A french living here.

As from The Perrett Hotel, Abu Dhabi!!!!!
Hi Ollie et al Just signing in having seen your last blog in India. A lot of your comments on India certainly brought back memories but I travelled first class non-air condition which I was advised was the best! Travelling across Indonesia from Jakarta to Bali was an even great experience! Yes, I am not ensconced in the Perrett 5 star Hotel in Abu Dhabi for the next 3 weeks. Dom says to tell you he's leaving for the Philippines this evening and do your friends in the Philippines receive your blog? He thinks they ought...not that he's bothered to see anything, I had to tell him all. The senior Perretts will be in Abu Dhabi for a few hours on 2nd/3rd April...obviously checking up on their new tenants!! Cheers for now, carry on enjoying yourselves. Best wishes Liz PS Ollie, I am taking good care of Titus for you, he's great fun and has slept on my bed on one night.

Great Guys
It's great to see your Blog...enjoy yourselves. Only know Olliep but I'm sure you are all going to have a great time. It reminds me of my trip to India, I trust you are going to use Indian trains at some stage!!!!! That's fun:-) I went from Bombay to Rajasthan on First Class Non-Air Conditioned....they told me that was the way to travel. One woman wanted the shoes off my feet!! Try and hang on to your passports where ever you are...they will always ask for them but give a good excuse. Looking forward to hearing about the next part of the journey...Try and let those who don't know, where your next port of call is before you get there...just in case we have "Get out of Jail Free cards" in the area!!!! Cheers Liz (In Penzance)
