This morning I woke up to the hustle and bustle of the Cairo street outside my window. In the morning I headed off to Giza with many students from AUC. We loaded onto a huge bus and first visit the great pyramid, which is the largest of Egypt's pyramids. Upon seeing the pyramids I think it finally hit me that I was really in Cairo. I arrived in Cairo after about 24 hours sitting in airports and airplanes. But it was all worth it when I arrived in Cairo. The first thing I noticing when flying into Cairo was the desert characteristics of Cairo, there is absolutely no grass in sight and very few palm trees.
