The Tower at night.
YAY for the city of LIGHTS!
I arrived into Central Paris via the EuroStar. This is the coolest train EVER!! SO FAST. But still better than flying, I get to watch as the French countryside opens up in front of me, beautiful. From Gare du Nord (the end of the Eurostar Line in Paris) I made my way...all by myself using the two french words that i know...to the suburban train station and catch a train to Plasir-Gringon (Plaisir is where Denis and Natalie live and it means "pleasure" - PERFECT!). When i get to the station Denis is there waiting. When we get home we sit [View Full Entry]

My full day in London
I arrived in London on March 19th, still without much of a plan or a definite place to stay. The flight from Dublin wasn't too bad, Gatwick International on the other hand...a disaster! ahaha. The place is HUGE and the signs are not the most helpful. I had such a hard time trying to find the bus to Central London that I ended up just taking the Express train (twice the price...but, twice as fast). While on the train I tried to solidify a place to lay my head for the night. Before I left Dublin I had sent out a [View Full Entry]

this was my first look and the first picture that EVERYone takes.
My last few days in Dublin were great! I toured Christ's Church Cathedral. Beautiful! I also checked out an exhibit on early viking life in Dublin. My last day in Dublin before heading out West I went to The Guinness Brewery! It was AWESOME! When you finish the self guided tour, you go up to the SkyBar where you get a free pint of the freshest Guinness in the world to enjoy overlooking the entire city! On Friday the 7th I caught a bus from Dublin to Galway. The trip, normally about 3:40, took almost five hours (we had to switch [View Full Entry]

Famous for live music!
...the Guiness really is better here! So i arrived around 9am Dublin time on March 1st. The flight went well...i slept most of the way. I spent most of my first day just wandering around City Centre, Dublin making an attempt to acclimate myself. HA. good luck! Luckily though, the people here are SO welcoming and always willing to share a story...even when all you wanted was directions to the pub. I'm making a joke out of it, but really it's such an amazing thing to meet a person for 5 minutes and before you know it you're laughing harder than [View Full Entry]

A Beautiful Thing

Last April I was in a play. It changed my life in ways i never could've known at the time. For the first time in my life i've made the concious decision to do something completely for me. It's an amazing feeling of freedom that makes my brain swoon with expectation everytime the thought comes to the forefront of my mind. In February I will embark on a, somewhat whirlwind, RTW trip. (RTW = Round The World in backpacker lingo) My trip will start in Dublin, Ireland and take me mostly overland across Europe and Asia, trouncing through SE Asia on [View Full Entry]
