Orientation Part I Orientation lasted from Jan. 20th to Feb. 9th. Within those three weeks nine AJWS fellows and three orientation leaders lived at Gandhi’s ashram in Ahmadabad, and for 4-5 days we stayed at a Dalit (untouchable) vocational school. Arriving in India When the captain announced that we were landing in Mumbai, I had finally begun to realize I was going to be in India for 9 months.
