Aussie Cousin Ben's daughter I would love to read what you would write when you come to Australia!!!! You have blown me away!! Crazy man. I did love your Xmas message.
And the oscar for best home video goes to..... Hi guys, just a quick note to say that I hope you both had a great Christmas. Loved the video, and as always the outtakes provided the most laughs!! Take care and hope you have a fantastic New Year, Alisa xx
Nutters I think you guys are completely nuts and hilarious. Well, mabe just you for the nuts Robbie; your Chip Monster was always seemingly sane. Just wanted to wish you both a nice holiday and a fantastic New Years! Looking forward to reading your new adventures with longing and jealousy. Love, Jenn
Merry Christmas I just want to wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you have a lot more fun in the New Year. I have really enjoyed your blogs over the last few months. The pictures are spectacular, I also think you should write a book when you come home. Lots of Love, Joyce
Also Guilty I worked out, (had a lot of spare time on trains to do this) that in our 3 weeks in Japan, we would have spent around £550 on rail fares, that's a saving of £260. Since Japan we've been able to stop in places for more than a day, so relaxing ;)
Thanks & Bye Bye Japan Hey guys, thanks for the advice on the walkers bells warding off bears, they're still annoying but at least we now understand they may have saved our lives ;)
Both of your last entries are very funny, it's nice to know other people wander around aimlessly looking for stuff that should be there, but isn't. Glad you persevered with the Bagel hunt, a lesser man/woman would have given up and gone bagel-less.
Good to see the 'Sisters Of Mercy' have infiltrated your blog (Although it does say that I got very drunk at some point and bored you and anyone in earshot, for that I am sorry)
As for us, with our budget for Japan well and truly blown, but having eaten some of the best food in the world, we have cruised back to China (via South Korea) & we’ll be here for the next 2 months. Keep well, and keep the blog up to date. Cheers D&J
Happy Birthday bob!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU BIG WEIRD BAGEL EATING JOBBIE HEAD!!! how old are you again? 27 or 28 ? ( old i guess) lol . Looks like your both having an amazing time, vicky i feel for you on the salad front, (i dont no if id cope! lol) but at least you got your bagel and i had a good laugh!! . Love you both loads write again soon . Bernie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Amityville Pedalboat That is seriously the most scary looking pedal boat I have ever seen. The bagels on the other hand look divine. I may have to go to Tescos and purchase some today, although they wouldnt be as nice as yours ok. Sapporo: I would LOVE a Sapporo. It reminds me of being 18 and trying to finish one of those enormous cans they used to come in. Glad to see you are still having funstones, and it's comforting to know that we were not the only ones who talked a lot about food and drink on our the adventures! Take care cherubs, Sxx
Food things Dried squid for breakfast - mmmmmm
Restaurant window food looked good though. Was self sushi rolling a success? Bagels are important.......
Ahhh, it's all coming back now! Hi you two - gosh you fair get about with some speed don't you! I like your night time photo of Mao... it makes a nice change from the normal ones (like ours) taken through the smog of the day.
Byezeebye!
Sxxx
ps: Why not try some lizard blood for your cold. I heard that was magic. Oh no, hang on... I meant Night Nurse.
Breaking up my dull day Met you both at the BBQ before you headed off, I was the one with the wet Fort Bill look having just finished the last leg of the WHW.
I'd just like to thank you guys for bringing entertainment to my working life (I.T. - Anything else is entertaining.!!). Have really enjoyed following you round the world (in a virtual way, don't worry you're not being stalked). Loved the "man flu" section in the last blog. Hope you're both back to 100% soon. Continue enjoying yourselves, I look forward to the next episode. Flynny :-)))
Lovin' it! Loving the blog guys - keep it up. Pics look fabby too - "Anonymous Russian Town" strangely reminiscent of The Weedge.
Vik - Hope you haven't run out of Wet Ones.
Bob - Did you steal that hairnet from a Russian lady?
Look forward to the next one.
Alan.
buy buy buy I really think we need to put our name down for some of those Barratt homes - just what we've been looking for since ages ago - see they have thought of everything with just a simple flick of the roof! Good to see that you are surviving and enjoying your travels. Do you need us to send some supplies?
Years of staring at maps, debating routes, saving money and boring anyone in earshot with constantly changing plans finally culminated in our D-Day. 28th August 2006. The day that Vik and Bob went global.
Having made it to New Zealand without taking a single flight, we reached the conclusion that neither our finances nor our sea legs could stomach another container ship journey so we've cheated and taken a flight from New Zealand to Bangkok. From Bangkok we hope to stick with the overland theme and take a route home through Southern Asia: China, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey...
