Of gorges and hills Perhaps you ARE a travel writer with a management affliction? Even without pictures, you took me there, held my attention and made me think. Namaste
Noreen's brilliant travelogue you, my brilliant friend are taking us along with you - a thrill and a delight - brings to mind some of your high country adventures back when you were rangling in the COlorado high country!!!!
Hello Noreen Hi Noreen -- My last comment didn't get posted -- maybe I need to join something? But I'll try again, only to say that this looks like a wonderful and fascinating adventure, and it's quite an amazing thing to be able to learn about it in almost-real-time a world (or three) away in western Massachusetts. Wow. I remember in Hungary following the travels of a young woman on her own in South America, and how incredible it seemed (and was) to get daily e-mails. Now there are color pictures, fancy formatting, the whole shebang. Your descriptions are so pungent, I'm enjoying reading them. So glad you can make this trip.
Best, Sarah
Internet I'm guessing the internet is only sporadically available? Or am I totally incorrect here? Oh, one more thing? If at all possible? POST MORE PICS! Your photography is fantastic and I may never get to Nepal, thanks dear!
I like this, its comforting to know where you are and what you're doing and that you are well. I think tonight I'll read it aloud with the kids and let them write to you.
poetic Noreen, Did you say 'out of work' ?Im so surprised The expressions you use are engaging ,vivid and poetic. Keep them coming and enjoy the adventure.
Ill return to Boston (from Fl) in a couple of weeks to prepare for Marian's anniversary 6/6/10.
Hope to see Mom's new place then. Sean XX
Thank You Hi Noreen. I'm so happy for you and I miss you a lot. So I was absolutely positively thrilled to learn you had this blog going. Thanks for every word you have time to share. Sending blessings your way every day. xoxo Frannyt
A New Pair of Glasses Amazing how the conditions and rain would cause me back here to moan and groan, but the same conditions there and people "smile and laugh". Thanks so much for your blog! Love, Andrea
Greetings, Noreen Thanks so much for inviting me to share your trip. The photo of the mountains is fabulous. I'm happy to hear that you are meeting nice people along the way. Namaste, Noreen.
hi What a wonderful trip and great adventure. I'll keep my eye on your blog so I can take a vicarious little trip away from western MA every day! It sounds like you are in safe hands.
Love,
Sarah
Wow, I really loved reading your post about Durbar Square! You gave such a great account of being there, I felt like I was! I've always wanted to go to Nepal but haven't been yet. Thanks for posting such great details! My blog is looking for travel photos, stories, etc, to share. If you have the time, check it out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com, or email me at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com. Continued fun on your travels, and stay safe from those riots!
Heather :)
More pictures!! I'm an avid fan of your travelogue, already. Thank you for taking the time from sleep and travel to keep in touch. Maybe you could send a new word every day and we could then all speak the language when you get home. Stay vertical and well, Namaste, Nancy
Leaving in a week for Arizona with my sister (Judy) & her son (Sam!) - some where between Saguaro National Park and the Coronado National Forest to an Arizona dude ranch. Then to Cambridge long enough to take off the cowboy boots, put on the hiking boots, and head to Kathmandu & Forbidden Mustang; In the past 3 years have travelled from home (Cambridge MA & Newark VT) to Ireland, Italy, Israel, Jordan, Egypt.
