Well well well... firstly I apologise for the lack of blogs.. Life here just flies by and we are so wrapped up in our new Thai life we keep forgetting about the blog we promised to keep updated! Anyway things are going amazingly, we've moved house to a little bungalow surrounded by coconut trees, it's lovely and works out at about 4quid a night! Our thai friend that has been supplying us with the most amazing chicken kebabs rang her friend and got us a good deal for us to rent it for a month.. we will probably go back there after the islands if we decide on living in this area and there's work for us. Saturday was a full on packed day.. Charlie did 4 hours of kite surfing lessons, by the end of it he was skidding through the waves on his own, which was huge progress.. the sport is quite expensive and probably addictive which is not good news! I spent the day taking photo's of everyone kite surfing and lazing about the beach reading.. could not complain! Saturday night we all went to a Moulan Rouge fancy dress party in Hua Hin.. ladies in sparkly corsets & hot pants with big feathers in our hair and the guys all went topless sporting dicky bows and eye masks.. We are not actually in Hua Hin, about 25km south of there but it won't let me find Pak Nam Pran on here for some reason - maybe because it's so secluded! We spent 3 lazy days in Cha Am, everyday challenging ourselves to spend as little as possible, being well chuffed when we managed to eat a good meal for less than a quid! There wasn't a right lot going on in Cha Am.. it has been referred to as 'Blackpool' so we were happy to move on a day or two earlier than planned.. We did rent bicycles and tried to find the local bus station, cycling with the local traffic, trying not to get knocked over, ringing the little bell every now and then.. mainly because it made us laugh! With only 2 weeks to go.. it feels pretty weird & not really as hectic as we thought! Good planning you see!! Currently packing up our belongings to be put into storage seeing as we don't really know what's going to happen or when we will be back home.. excitement! Leaving do's and farewell dinners over the next couple of weeks.. The plan so far.... Arrive in Bangkok, spend a couple of days in the chaos that we both love to embrace.. then head to Hua Hin or Cha Am for a few days chiller on the beach before going to Pak Nam Pran for Charlie to start his tattoo course.. both very excited about this.. the start of all things new! We will settle in Pak Nam Pran for the next 6-8 weeks before meeting ... read more
