Tuesday I went out for lunch with Aurélie, Roseanne, Lena, Maud, Tanguy, Simon, Florain and Thomas instead of eating at the canteen. We decided to go the Kebab place, it was the first time I had gone there and it is so good! It was also good to talk with everyone like outside of school :) However when we went back to school we all smelt like oil for the rest of the day :/ Wednesday, Half day of school, Café de Paris and diving where we had drinks and 'the kings cakes' (which are like fruit pies, pastries and cakes that have a small toy baked in them and if you get the toy you get the crown that comes with the cake) The week went pretty quickly and I finally got some early nights ... read more

On Tuesday we has class photos and it was not what I expected it to be! They dress up, not like in nice clothes, in outfits! Some of the classes decide on a theme, but my class couldn't all agree on one, so it ended up being 'how you want' but they said we must ALL dress up as something. We ended up having all sorts, Nuns, Cowboys (and girls), Sports people, Ugly, Clowns, Pj's, Farmers, Nerds and only about 4 people who didn't dress up! It was fun. I went as a Aerobics workout person with leg warmers, pink tights, short shorts, baggy tee, sweeter and sweatband with a high pony tail. Snow flakes keep falling :) its amazing. On Wednesday Gabi and I went to the circus. It was pretty average but fun to go to. They had a huge candyfloss maker and I got the biggest stick of candyfloss, yummy! After to went to café de Paris for hot chocolates, around the shops and then to Gabi's. Friday after school I got home and my package from Courtney and her Mum was here! I was so excited! It had the sweetest gifts in it, I wanted to cry I was so happy :) In the evening JL had an AFS meeting here, and Christine brought Ariel with her, we got to talk about how things have been so far and just to catch up. Snow snow snow and more snow! Hardly anybody at school because the buses aren't running. Looks amazing though :) WEEKEND- PARIS! We left for Paris Saturday morning and had the most beautiful drive there seeing as everything was covered in snow :D Once in Paris we went to Valerie's place (A person we met on the hiking trip that said we were welcome to stay if I wanted to see Paris). It was just Françoise and I staying with her as J.L had a AFS meeting to attend. 28-12-09 Today I went to the Mont Saint Michel with Jean Luc, Françoise's sister and her husband. It was pretty amazing, Something you have to see photos of as I really can't describe it! After walking through/around it we went to a creperie for lunch. The day would have been more enjoyable if I wasn't sick :( In the afternoon I went to the doctors and am now on antibiotics; hoping to feel better for New Years! 30-12-09 Spending days on the couch watching movies, trying to feel better. :) NEW YEARS EVE Today started off with me getting my first haircut in France. Well Christmas eve eve I had a visit from an AFS friend I made in Paris, Conor (an american) came to Fougéres so we hung out for the day. Spent most of it sitting in McDonalds but it was still fun and good to talk. After we walked around the town and looked at the christmas lights. :) . CHRISTMAS EVE! Also my host brothers birthday. Antoine and I went to Françoise's sisters house to set up for the dinner. It seemed like the movies, cold and raining outside but warm and happy inside! :) Back at home we were watching movies when Jean Luc came in and told us to go outside, we walked out and saw that it was snowing! I'm turning into a snowman! Its so cold here!! -7 degrees when walking to school and it doesn't normally get any warmer than 2 degrees during the day. The town fountain is completely frozen over, but still no snow :(. 17th SNOW!! Today was amazing! When I woke up and looked out my window I saw that the roofs and footpaths were a little white then while getting ready for school I saw tiny snowflakes starting to fall. I ran outside even though it was only a little I was so happy. I finished getting ready for school and then went back outside and it was actually snowing, big snowflakes! On Wednesday we only had two hours of school so after class we all went to Hélènes place where we hung out before going to McDonalds for lunch, they call it McDos. It's different but I'm not sure how to explain it. We got so much food but it was so good!! We also got McDonalds balloons :) !After lunch we went and looked around the shops before going back to Hélènes to watch a DVD. Thursday evening was great, friends, pizza, wine and spa! :) I love the spa when its - 5 degrees outside! Friday we had family over for dinner. Dinners here can last for hours! Times going so quickly, I can't believe it! On the third it was three months since I left New Zealand!! The Christmas lights in Fougeres have been turned on and they looking so amazing! I've posted christmas presents home. Its starting to get really cold here, Im hoping for snow this month :) While in Spanish on Thursday with Gabi, we were looking out the window at the lightening and listening to the thunder then all of a sudden the ground was white with massive balls of hail. It poured down! After class we ran to Gabi's house because we didn't have an umbrella and got completely soaked!
