So, I'm home now. I think I'm finally recovering from jet-lag and alive enough to update the blog. The last stops on my trip were Bruges, Belgium, Ireland, and London. Bruges was a quaint little town with windmills, chocolate, and beer that was just Delish! I decided to go to Belgium for some rest before the the last two weeks in Ireland and London. I did rest up just in time for Dublin. Dublin was all right. A basic big city, but with a medieval center. Castles right there in the middle of town. Ok, so I finally kicked the cold that I had in Nuremberg. Well, partying in Berlin didnt help, but it was well worth it. I ended up staying in Berlin for an extra two days because it was just that awesome. I stayed in East Berlin, which is in the process of being re-built. It's full of young artists, galleries, clubs, cafes, and second-hand shops. I am also intrigued by what I like to call the "recent history" of the city. Alright, I´ve come down with a nasty cold, so decided I could spare some time to update you all on where´ve I´ve been. From Switzerland, Gemma and I headed to Salzberg, Austria. One of our trains was late, so we missed a connector train and had to stay the night in the Zurich train station. I figured we were lucky to be stuck in Switzerland of all places. So, since Paris I,ve been to San Sebastian and Barcelona in Spain, Porto and Lisbon in Portugal, Nice on the French Riviera, Monaco, Interlaken, Switzerland, and I am now in Salzburg, Austria. Phew! San Sebastian is on the Northern border of Spain, just outside of France. It´s known for tapas and a type pf sparkling wine called pinxtos. I didnt try the pinxtos, but the seafood tapas were divine. I happend to be in San Sebastian during their Independece Day (August 31). There was a festival happening the entire three days of my stay. Hello again. I just finished a five day adventure in Paris. I met my friend Maria (many of you know her as KFOGs "Lopez") in Paris on Monday. Yes, the fab duo hit up the town and even made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower. My fear of heights may be over after that. Not much else to say other than Paris is beautiful and huge, and that it was calming to see a good friend on the trip. It made me feel closer to home, but miss you all more! Yes, it's about time I add a new entry. I've taken about 400 new pictures since the last time I posted anything. Since the last day of classes, August 10, I've been to Sardenia, Rome, Lake Como, Milan, and I am now in Paris. I went to Sardenia with my friend, Megan. I was her guest at a resort in Chia..what a wonderful treat to end college classes. I stayed there for three days, then parted ways with Megan. She headed home to California, and I went to Rome.
