Dionisio (Spud) and I meet up at our hotel on Friday night. Time to spend some time preparing for Contiki next week. Spud will have his own section at the bottom of the blogs for the next 6 weeks as we undertake our Eurotrip. A brief outline of activities: Saturday 22/5 - walking tour of London getting to see the sights of London. Saturday night Pubcrawl. We also happened to fluke it and see the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace. Sunday 23/5 - tour of lord's, London eye and meet up with Petulla Monday 24/5 - today we planned to go Dublin for a couple of days but stayed in London (full explanation below) Tuesday 25/5 - marathon sleep 13hrs, saw globe theatre, climbed monument (47.8m, 311 steps), Clink prison museum and Borough markets ... read more

Our road trip in the C class began early on Saturday morning. Heading south past Stuttgart on the autobahn we got our first go at testing whether we could break the elusive 200 mark. Quick description of the trip: Saturday 8/5 - travelled from Mainz to the Swiss border then onto Bern and Interlacken Sunday 9/5 - found the most expensive railway in Europe $150 to catch a train to the top of a mountain. Went to Luzerne on the way to Zurich overnight Monday 10/5 - travelled back to Mainz and got out speed record Our trip along the autobahn was fun until we got stuck in a traffic jam for an hour. This week started very differently to the rest. I was up at 4:30. Hadn't seen that hour in awhile and after becoming accustomed to getting up at whatever hour i felt sufficient it was tough. But i knew it was all for a good cause. Germany here i come! Breif outline: Monday 3/5 - Flew from Milan to Vienna then onto Frankfurt where i caught a couple of trains (It should have obnly been one but i will explain why later) to Mainz to meet Mark. Time for the Americano to Leave the country Brief outline Monday - fairly quiet day went to Angela’s farm and another ride to get some pictures of the roto and marsha Tuesday - Visitied Pop’s friend Frank Gazzana in Terranova Wednesday - La Carforky definetly not spelt like that but thats the phonetic spelling. Where pop used to work with the Oxes Thursday - Had lunch at Angela’s in Melicucca, played soccer with the Gagliotti work team, spoke to an older gentleman who lived in Brooklyn (I’m sure he was in the Sopranos) Friday - Final day in Paparone. This week probably hasn't been the most exciting after spending the beginning just relaxing and having a true holiday with way too much food. After completing this blog im slightly apologetic for its length and maybe next time i will write for a couple of days rathe than a whole week. A brief outline of the weeks activities: Monday 19/4 - Went shopping (and yes it is just as boring here as it is in Australia) Tuesday 20/4 - Standard day went to Palmi in the morning, was forced to eat too much for lunch, played soccer with the cousins in the afternoon. Hey all, First attempt at writing the experiences for the week.
