so where are you living?
Hi Tim! thanks for sending me this. I didn't know you were on a new assignment in Ecuador but calling Thailand home. Where is Kata Noi? I don't know Thailand that well, but a brief general whereabouts would be fun to know. I have been to Bangkok, Phuket, and a beach resort south of Hua Hin (can't remember the name at the moment - having a junior moment). Have a good weekend! Love, Christine

Your new mistress
And here, I thought I was your new mistress... too bad. Your pics from Thailand are amazing. Here's hoping you do Quito just as much justice with the camera. Looking forward to following your travels.

unsure
Hey Tim, glad to see your safe. So give me a rundown of what you see in your world. What is the money over there. Is soccer a big thing? What canyou do what can't you do. The weather here is pretty bad, it's been snowy since I got back from Guatemala. Do you have a cd play that can show photos? I put together a slide show of my trip and I'd be glad to send you a copy. The girls are well, they miss you and are excited to see you when you come back. One favor. If you can get an Afgan soccer jersey, I'd love one. XL OR XXL. I got one from Guatemala. Stay safe and I'll talk to you later this week. Your Brother Paul - paul

Something to do...
I talked to someone in the know and he said check out the British pub in Kabul. They'll take care of you there and maybe even give you another story or two for your blog! - Shannon

Every adventure is worth the journey
It's nice to finally have an idea of your surroundings. The hills are beautiful indeed. The compound is...well it's a construction site so it's not all that fabulous - but hey, you are ;-) I'm glad to hear that you're adjusting well. Just be careful and don't get too comfy...we want you back home in July! - Wahine
