Muscat is sprawls out between the Gulf and the Hajar mountains. Since we arrived right after some flash flooding following unseasonably heavy rains, we had to settle for a regular car, as the 4WD we'd rented was being used by locals to get around the flood damaged areas. This put a crimp on some of our plans to get to more remote areas, but we still made the best of it.... read more

Prague is one of Europe's most beautiful cities ... a big part of it due to it not being bombed to bits in the 2nd European conflagaration of the 20th century. Prague is a wonderful walking city. We got disoriented the first day, and end up taking the long way to the old city ... but from then on, we quickly learnt all the short cuts to the various sites we wanted to visit.... read more
