After leaveing the south island we got the ferry across to the north island. We landed in Wellington and had a little look around as this was the 1st big city we had seen in weeks. We stayed here for a few nights then decided to leave as there wasnt much to see and do here. We headed north up the middle of the island untill we hit a place called Lake Taupo. The drive was one of the best we had done for the veiws. We decided to do a skydive here because we read in our guide book it was the best and cheapest place in the world to do one. We went into the airport to book the dive but because of the weather they wernt running any for the next few days.

So after a 2:30 hour flight from sydney we landed in Chrischurch on a nice day suprisingly because we thought it was going to be really cold. We went straight to the campervan rentals from the airport and picked up our new home for the month. It was alot bigger then the hippie camper thank god i dont think we could of lasted another month in something that small. This one had its own stove and microwave so we were sorted and we didnt have to pay for campsites everynight ( we done our trick of sneeking on ). Our

We had already seen all the tourist stuff on the way from Sydney to Alice so we had nothin but driving to do for the next 3 to 4 days. We decided to cut across from Adelaid to Sydney instead of going right around the bottom of the country again which would of took us another day or 2 ontop of the driving we already had to do. We decided to head straight for coober pedy which is the opal mine town we told you about in the

We had stayed quite close to Adelaid the night before so it didnt takes us long getting here. We arrived on the wednesday and decided we would stay untill the friday and then head for the outback. As soon as we got there we just went staright into the town centre to have a little walk about and get information on campsites. Adealiae is not as big as Sydney or Brisbane but its still a nice capital city even though its a bit on the small side. We had a little walk around and something to eat and dedcided we would go out for a few drinks in the night to see if it was anything better than

We made more stops in between but these are the main places that we took piccies of.The first place we arrived at from Townsville was Arlie beach, this is the place to see the whitesundays and humpback whales if your lucky. Its quite a long drive from Townsville to Arlie beach, like everywere in Oz i suppose but we wernt quite used to how many km's we could get out of a full tank and after we had been driving past sugar cane field after sugar cane field we started to get a bit worried because the fuel was running very low and

We landed in Cairns about 6am and jumped at a taxi to the place were we were staying called Gilligans backpackers resort. We got told it was the best place to stay in Cairns for backpackers. When we arrived we got told that we couldnt check into our room untill 2pm, i felt like crying we were so tired from travelling but what can you do? So we decided to go and withdraw

Bali was fantastic and really really, really, cheap, put it this way we could get a 3 course meal with drinks for 6 quid and were not talking maccies here. When we landed in the airport we had to pay 25 us dollers to get into Indonisia and when we were leaving we had to pay another 25 to get out, cheeky or what! When we got through customs we headed for the nearest cash machine to withdraw some Bali ruppies. We put the card in the machine then all these zeros appeard and we didnt have a clue how much we needed as there money works out 18,200 to the 1 english pound (which we

We didnt have a place pre booked to stay because we thought we would be alright and find a place when we got here (how wrong we were). We got dropped off at KL Sentral ( there spelling) thinking it would be the central area of KL (how wrong we were again) it was like getting warped into india. we was surrounded by a million indians trying to sell us t shirts asking us to go into there shops all this with our backpacks still on AS IF. We walked around for a bit trying to find a place to stay and because our bags are very heavy we would of
