Some details about the program: I'll be studying in Israel through the Ginsburg-Ingerman (yes, spelled just like my mother's last name!) Overseas Student Program at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. BGU is located in Beer Sheva, which is in the Negev desert. I chose to study at BGU because the program reminds me of Vassar in that it seems very community-oriented yet also encourages immersion into Israeli life and culture.
