I am starting this blog at the early age of 18. I have traveled a decent amount in the short time I have spent on this earth and I have slowly come to the realization that I love to travel. My favorite part of traveling is coming home with a camera full of photos-most just snapped out of a car window at a completely unimportant object. Most of my pictures are just of anything, though there are the occasional shots that look absolutely georgeous and make the entire trip worth while. Though I have no skill in photography, taking pictures on a trip is the most important thing to me because it is a way of recording the look of a place my memory will forget. I am also a scuba diver and though it is expensive to dive, my new goal is to dive more often on as many trips as I can. I am trying to determine currently how I am going to split my time between travel and going to college and working. I know I cannot waste all of my college cash on travel, yet I know that thinking of my next destination is constantly on my mind. For now, I will share what trips I have embarked on and plan my next adventure into this exciting world.

Though I also didn't eat anything because food cost money on the plane and I was bummed that I couldn't see outside the window when we landed. However, all of the uncomfortableness of the plane ride evaporated when I stepped out of the plane. I got to walk down the ... read more

Europe » United Kingdom » England » London March 15th 2009

The first part of my trip was two days in London, and since this was my first time in Europe I was nothing but starstruck the entire time. The first day my plane arrived at 8:00 a.m. and boy was I exhausted to say the least. I had been on a plane the preceding 15 hours and was experiencing a six hour time change. The first day was sort of a blur since we walked the entire day, I was a bit cold and I fell asleep during bathroom breaks and at the dinner table. My group was traveling with some students from Ontario and it was interesting to not only see the cultural differences, but they had a night flight so they were awake and laughed at all the Texans asleep at dinner. Okay, so ... read more
