Bella Italia What an adventure you and John live... What a wonderful trip and thanks for sharing your journey Nancy. We might venture over some day in the spring or fall, I am not a fan of the heat. Can't wait for you Asia trip... Thailand? China? So many possibilities...
wow Nanc- you never cease to amaze me with how your writing evokes feelings in me that are always so positive. Thanks for sharing your experiences in Italy with me!
Love you.
Your mass will not be English, but it will be lovley...this hiking is amazing, glad you are doing it all, i could never do that with my fake parts. but i am living it through you...have a nice glass of red for me!!!
Amalfi Never got to see this part of Italy so I am particularly interested in your blog postings. It is HOT here also - we are getting some 100 degree weather (the 8th for this summer). Last year at this time we had had 47 days 100 degrees or hotter. I have gone back to my Saudi lifestyle - do as much as possible inside; walk or exercise after 7:30 p.m. Good for you on the hikes.
Way to Go! Thanks for keeping me interested and envious of the wonderful experiences you are having. I cannot envision Helmut going on a hike - almost straight up! Maybe a slow biking tour on flat terrain (make that a motorbike). Continue to enjoy!
Naples If you read the book Eat, Pray, Love - you would know that Italy was the "eat" part. And the author went to Naples just for the pizza. Most of southern Italy is off the beaten path for all but nationals. And it's stunningly beautiful. So glad you are having such a wonderful time. Monsie is forwarding blog link to me.
Chianti Unfortunately getting a good chianti in our NSLC store in Bridgetown is not possible and would probably have to go to Halifax for that, and then it could be unlikely
Sounds lovely! Sounds like you are having a wonderful time - great to be able to follow your trip on your blog. Thanks for sharing.
Special day coming up for a special gal ... count down started.
Love Nadine
Not on Blog List Mona has forwarded me the link to your blog so I got a bit of what she sent. Rome impressions and then Venice. I loved both places; Florence is so different, but I still have a light linen coat that I bought there in 1984! I knew you both would love Italy. Enjoy.
Venice wonder how many take their last swim in those canals. Have some Cape Breton photos to send but new computer is confusing as photos don't seem to want yo go but once I have it sorted out will send...probably best to wait until you get home
hi Hi. glad you are home safe and sound. I got your email about being on the Mira! I bet that was a trip down memory lane! We are doing great! We both LOVE Italy the weather has been outstanding, tho sometimes in Rome it was just so hot. Venice is somewhat cooler, like 28 versus 34. Very humid. Today we take the train to Florence. Sounds Amazing !! Wish I were there - I 've been to Venice years ago- a most romantic place and a chandelier over the bed. Well .... so do get out of the room to tour a little!!
Venice I understand totally. Isn't Venice enjoyable! I loved the walking and discovering quaint little shops or getting advice from an old Italian man about where to go and see something. We discovered an art shop, where everything from men's ties, jackets, women's underwear, etc., was carved out of wood. It was really neat. Have fun. We have the same 30 plus temp. here but are not wandering among concrete all day long.
