well, i'm drunk in london. the birthday week has been a fascinating 24hours so far anyway, fun times. myself, bean, ash, pete, ami and crazy mike went out last night for a 'quiet drink', and had a fantastic night, so the term quiet drink is probably very wrong. well, so wrong that i missed my coach this morning. i awoke, looked at the clock which said 9am, and said to myself, 'nah, thats never the time'. but yes, it was. lame. so i ended up getting a £40 train to london instead of my £4 coach. the definition of lame my friends. anyway, got to london, and of course, first thing i do, straight to camden for some camden chicken. and i know i big it up quite alot, but wow, so much better than i ... read more

i had another super day yesterday, and my routine summary of events will start now... woke up, had a hilarious shower (you cant beat holding the shower head) and went off to the train for my day in what i thought was the hilariously named kranj. Kraaaaaanj. train was decent, just more validation of how much this place makes me smile really. got off the train, and sonja was already there. said our hellos and went off to her car. any nerves i may have had were quickly vanquished when i saw that sonja drives a suzuki wagonR, a car which looks suspiciously like our classic moses eats cheese agilas. so i was chuffed at this. sonja drove us to a place called swans lake. because there are alot of swans on it. duh. had a ... read more

well well well well. i shall start by stating the obvious. slovenia is absolutely incredible. i am totally, utterly in love with this place, and i do not want to leave. before coming i had it in my head that this would be the highlight of the month, and by gum was i right. the train journey here was pretty uneventful, with some burnt rubber delaying us for 20minutes, gaz breaking a window and a big corridor being the general highlights. the train journey itself was another breathtaking one, just aesthetically perfect in every way. and then we enter slovenia, and everything kinda goes up a notch, and becomes what i would describe as the perfect place. everywhere you look you see snow capped mountains, the sky is just perfect. ace. we got to ljubljana, and ... read more

awww, what a bloody brilliant evening i had. from the top! got back to the ol' hostel last evening after my net time, and decided that because i hadnt eaten much fruit on this trip, i could really do with getting some. so off i went again, on my todd, to get some fruit of some sort. i had remembered some markets that i had passed earlier, so decided to venture back towards them. as soon as i stepped outside though, a strange feeling was in the air. you know, that feeling of 'hmm, its warm out here, but decidedly overcast. i really hope it doesnt rain, whilst im out here in a white t-shirt and 3 quarter trousers'. you can see where this is going. the markets are a good 15minute walk from the hostel, ... read more
