Almost one month in Amsterdam feels like three months. The days go by so quickly here, yet I learn so much and see so many things every day that 15 hours of being awake feels like an entire week. Have I said that before? Im sure I have, and the beginning of every entry into this little box will become something everyone can just skip over, "Oh, there Leah goes about time again..." Hallo, I've been here in the Netherlands now for about two and a half weeks - it feels like much longer, months maybe. It's been a roller coaster of emotions. Moments where I have had to stop the tears from sliding out of my eyes, moments where I laughed so hard my sides were splitting, hours lost in contemplation, seeing things for the first time in my life. I can officially state to you all that I am far out of my comfort zone here Yesterday was the most difficult for me. The day was long, I was exhausted and woke up feeling slightly ill, my lack of sleep finally catching up to me. It's less than twelve days before I board a plane for Amsterdam. It's been nearly two and a half years since my feet have graced Western Europe's land. Part of me feels like I just flew in from China a few weeks ago. Since I came home at the end of March (with the crazy extended two day stay in Japan when the Fed Ex plane crashed) life has been kind of a whirlwind. I flew in and came back home to Fargo/Moorhead to assist with the flood, then finished the semester, spent a month living out of my car and couch surfing, then moved into a studio on campus and finally into my flat I share with Rory in the North Loop.
