Bells - From: Farewell
Kara, I am at my desk, at Children's Hospital, playing the "bells" on my computer, and between the sound of those, and the view of the Begjinhof in the background, I am nostalgic over my brief time in Europe. Thank you again for providing me that opportunity, but I am REALLY glad you are coming home. I have missed you. Love, Mom

What a treat to read this and to see the pictures. Sounds like everyone is having a wonderful time--what a gift. Bill got in a what--a fight! What the heck, is he trying to do time and enrich his European experience:) Keep smiling and don't forget the breathing exercises when things seem totally out of control, which they may at times. Thanks to your good friends for hosting our family. You got to love those sabbaticals! Love and safe travels to all. P.s. Have the kids eat a big waffle for me:))

Just checking your blog for the first time in a few weeks, only to see the sad news. We're really sorry to hear about Gus. Even though he only lived with us for a week or so, it feels like we've lost a(nother) dog ourselves. Sending our best from the southern hemisphere, E+T.

thanks for the great tour! - From: Vianden, Luxembourg...
Chloe, Deb, Grandma and I had a wonderful time touring Belgium, France and Luxembourg with Emma, Abigail, Eliza, Kara, and Jonathan! Thanks for sharing with us the sights and sounds and tastes (especially the "warme waffles"). My favorites were: 1) the ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower, 2) the vision of 4 little girls in their berets in front of Notre Dame, 3) the castle at Vianden, and 4) the trains. Of course, the trains. Love, Grampa

Hope you had a wonderful visit with Grandma and Grandpa. Love, Aunt Barbara and Uncle John

I'm loving your travel blogs and pictures. You get an out of sight mark for all the interesting happenings with the girls and how you travel. What a great planner you are dear Kara. Who knew the girls would be such troopers? Looking forward to more of your family experiences.

Hey - From: Berlin - Days 7 &8
Sounds like you are all having so much fun and are learning quite a lot. Eliza is getting so big. She is already learning how to use the potty!! Emma looks like she is already losing her teeth too. CRAZY. They are so grown up. They must have so much to talk about with everything that they have seen. Maybe I will come and visit later this year, I will have to put in my request chit to take time off. I have to experience what you are all talking about and what your pictures are showing. I hope all is well and the weather is brighter for you. Tell the girls I said hi.

I was disappointed too - From: Brussels
When Uncle John and I saw the Pissing Boy we were disapointed as well. However, it is too bad you were there when they dress him up in custume. Our visit took in the Beer Museum (as you know Belgium produces more beer than any where else). You must go back when the weather is better and when they have the Beer Festival. I think it is in October.
