| 14th December 2008 anonymous | - From: Souvenir from Leopold. I visited Leopold's just yesterday from the U.S. While seeping away my sweaty Sprite to quench my thirst from shopping I raised my eyes just slightly and in between dinners against the front wall I saw three shatter holes on the window. The gate that ironically protects Leopold's view to the street was shut but, dinners could still see the scars on him. |

| 17th February 2008 Moai | mixing up - From: Indian Women, quit your jewelry. You are right Zeph. Linking the jewelry post with your blog and blanknoise was neither sound nor ethical. My problem was not being successfull to link your post in a same you did with mine on your blog. If it may correct i will immediately create a new post linking your blogs. To end, I am not a feminist. I do not consider you are (you and Blanknoise). Please, refer to my new post to learn more. |
| 15th February 2008 n.aka.zephyr | Not all men are like that! - From: Indian Women, quit your jewelry. Al, I read your post and I think when you read my post and the blank noise's initiative you didn't a complete picture. What you got a one sided view. i think you saw a very grim side of 'Indian male bashing'.! All Indian men are not like that. Most urban living, educated men are NOT like that all. Some are more feminists than I am! Including my father and close male friends. Since India is a vast country, no generalizations hold true. I would say, all men are not bad. As for the big nose ring, the bangles and the henna they are beautiful embellishments which have a cultural meaning. Ofcourse what you wrote as a comparions was interesting because for some women this might hold true. Again, any generalized statement does not hold true for the entire country. The social strucutre and psyche of India changes every 100 kilometers. Because for vast cultural and language differences. When I first came across blank noise initiative, i wrote this for a friend of mine- http://o3.indiatimes.com/life_of_a_twenty_somebody/archive/2006/03/08/525067.aspx |
